Gageview Fresh Cut French Fries — Restaurant in Hamilton

Fries were cold. Fish was old. Like reheated. Likely made way earlier even day before. And pogo was overpriced but just same store bought pogo you buy in a box at store. I have been trying eat here for a long time. Never open when hours say they are. And the worker was kind. But the atmosphere was less to be desired. This man with no shoes on tried to butt in line and the worker said he was helping me and my child. But then did nothing after to get the man to leave me alone. If people think this is best place get fries or poutine. Wow. Very disappointed. I had to use a lot of tartar sauce to eat some of my gosh. And could t even fish...

A shame as people who are regular customers said it was the best around. Tried them today for lunch - 2 Piece Fish and Chips. Batter needs work (flaky and falls off the fish), while the fries were cold.

A Shame as I mentioned above as if the fries were only hot or at least somewhat warm, it would have made for a much better meal.

Update! Gave them another try. What appeared to be a HUGE piece of fish with the one piece with fries. Nope. Not sure how it held together, but 1/3 of the HUGE piece of fish was empty. See updated...

Love this place been going for a few years now. delicious food for a cheap price. Although the hours they are open aren’t accurate anymore. I used to go here last year and the year before and they were always open never had to look online, I think they only closed 1 day a week. The last few times I’ve walked over (about 10 min walk) they were closed, but online said they were open. Saturday says they’re open but they are not, so just to save anyone a trip over there they are not open...
