Omg, this restaurant looks downright scary from the outside. From certain angles at the intersection, the place looks like it's closed. The inside does not fare that much better because of worn out chairs and tables but the food was GREAT. I tried a bowl of bibimbop and I'd highly recommend ordering that from this restaurant. My companion and I also tried deep-fried dumplings and it is alright at its price but they are nothing special and I wouldn't order them again. You could buy the frozen dumplings and deep fry them yourself. The food seems fresh.
Parking here is very limited. They probably need to have better painted lines designating which areas people may park. At the time of my visit, a lot of cars were crammed into the space in a haphazard way.
UPDATE
Recently we returned to this restaurant and we were glad to see it survived the COVID era. Their menu looks updated. We got jjamgbong, jjajjangmyun and gamjatang and everything tasted GREAT. I am happy that I won’t need to go to Toronto for...
Read moreDecided to try this place out today due to Aijo's being closed and seeing all the good reviews online gave me confidence with Korea House Restaurant. I ordered the Kkanpunggi for delivery and just have to say the taste was very underwhelming and in my opinion quite pricey for what you're paying at $37.
The chicken had a soggy texture, and wasn’t crunchy at all and there was no scent or taste of pepper/garlic. Taking the first bite it reminded me more of a sweet and sour chicken the ones you usually find at a chinese place in a mall food court.
You'd also think that sides would be included considering the price. Similar to how Aijo's offers 3 sides and a bowl of rice with any of their main entrees but yeah that wasn't the case here. I won't be ordering here again since the taste can't justify the price and since there's other places like Aijo's that offers the same dish but at a much better...

If you want a nice quiet Korean restaurant in the neighborhood, this restaurant is a great choice to go to. We parked at the Shoppers Drug Mart just a short walk away as they don't have great parking on site but that's okay.
We were immediately greeted inside and the service was fast and friendly. Servers were great. We ordered the bulgogi dinner and the jajangmyeon. I I would say that the flavor profile was on the milder side instead of the strong, vibrant flavours I've had at other restaurants. However, it might have just been the dishes that we ordered. It would be great for those who want something more resembling home cooking and a milder flavor profile.
Overall, this is a good choice for a chill night out for Korean food.
