Hats off to the chef!!
I brought my family here to try their crepes and toasties before my sister flies back to HK; and they did not disappoint!
We ordered two crepes: Kainri and Teveri - The crepes had just the right thickness for the savory bacon and sautéed mushrooms in my Kainri. Together with the homemade Tomato jam, the crepe had a perfect balance between sweet and savory. Teveri was on another level, it was very unique and hard to explain. Each bite was creamy and flavorful but not too heavydue to the ingredients such as Avocado and goat cheese. I will definitely order this again even though im not a huge fan of goat cheese. That should explain a lot
Soup: French Onion soup was our first taste of the menu, but it depicts what's to come. Most french onion soups that I've had are usually salty and leaves you drinking lots of water afterwards but not this one at all. The cheese was nice and crispy until you dunk it into the soup to add the umami, essence of the soup, which was a flavor explosion!
Toasties: Ouf was good, chicken was juicy and tender, each bite was satisfying and heart warming. It was 3rd on my list today because the crepes were just THAT good, but you can't option this one out. If you want a good afternoon sandwich in a nice and cozy restaurant, I recommend this one.
The staff was super friendly, full of smile and made us feel comfortable dining here. Thank you for giving my sister an amazing meal before she has to fly for her business trip and eat some...
Read moreI find it quite difficult to put into words how wonderful this place is. You feel such a unique warmness upon arriving as if you've stepped into a fairy tale? Anyway, you even forget to sit down because of how mesmerizing the decor is. The amount of effort and detail they put into their space (down to an adorable feather duster!!!!) truly reflects how passionate they are about what they do. You will very much be enthralled in how beautiful the place is and this will only be the beginning.
The hospitality was so incredible I wanted to cry. Trish is why this world is still good, and that is an understatement. We were taken such good care of, I can't even. Still can't.
Sufficed to say the food was life changing and we left feeling like we did not deserve how good that food was. We split the French Onion soup and the only time I've ever felt that way was when my husband proposed to me, this was akin to how it tasted. Amazing amazing amazing!!
Both of us had the savory crepes that were both served with housemate tomato jam. Flavour profiles were so on point and the dopamine hit real hard with every single bite. Incredibly tasty and rich in taste. Perfect tbh.
This place deserves so much recognition for what they bring to Hamilton. Thank you so much for such an experience! Will always be back if you are...
Read moreI went to Verlan for the first time on Sunday and oh man, why did I wait so long? Right from the get-go, it was great. I called last minute for a reservation and was told they would hold a table for me as I’d be there in about 20 minutes.
When my husband and I walked in we were greeted and seated and it was very welcoming. The owner is so nice and friendly and accommodating to a minor substitution on my husband’s crepe for a dietary need. These were the best crepes I’ve had outside of Paris. I’ve been to a few places in Toronto and Niagara Falls and this was the best. They were light and slightly crispy, filled with delicious ingredients (we both had the apple cheddar bacon crepe) and for me I had a perfectly poached egg on top. The grapefruit mimosas were also very good.
The whole experience was fantastic and we will most definitely be back and will also be trying their sister restaurant Reunion in Morristown.
Thank you for a wonderful brunch. We...
