Lavino Pizza — Restaurant in Hamilton

I ordered online and wasn’t given a delivery time estimate like other places do. So after ordering at 6pm and still not hearing anything until after 7 (this place is only about 7 min from our house) I call and was told that my order had left awhile ago and should be there soon. I asked if there was anyway to confirm that as usually 45mins is a max/long time for most joints. I asked if they could confirm that it was actually on the way since it had now been just under an hour and a half and was told “thanks, it’ll be there soon” and they hung up on me. LOL. I was told it should be there soon and I’d understand if they were coming from all the way across the city but they weren’t, it was 3kms to my place from theirs. When the delivery driver arrived all of the sauce from the wings had leaked into his food bag and then onto the pizza boxes. The wings were completely dry since all the sauce wasn’t on the wings which sucked but the wings were decent after we tried to dip them in the container with whatever was left of it. The pizza was decent although quite doughy and seemed quite under cooked. Now if your reading this and are looking for a place to order pizza & wings, I’d look elsewhere - I’d say the wings are good (if they put it in a container where the sauce doesn’t leak) but the pizza wasn’t fully cooked and lacking flavour. We have been regulars for over 2 years and recently things started to change. The orders are taking longer to arrive and they are not arriving correct. There has been some instances where the wings arrived with sauce on them when the online order specified sauce on the side. We began adding an extra step while order, placing "sauce on side" in the additional notes and some how this still keeps getting skipped over.

When this happened the first time, we carried on (mistakes happen, no big deal!). The second time it happened we called to inform them this is the second time this has happened and hopefully it wouldn't happen again! The third time it happened, we were promised that a new batch of free wings would be sent right over within the next hour. Thankful for the staff trying to rectify the situation, we waited. To our surprise, the wings never showed up. Our last and final time we ordered, not only was the sauce on the wings but it was the wrong sauce. When we called to explain, the person on the phone said "it is hot sauce" when we explained that it was in fact BBQ we were told "when you eat the wings, itll be spicy."

We are so sad that all of this is happening. We have loved the wings and pizza...

Been here a few times, thought the people and food was great. Ordered Gyro and Rice. I literally watched them pull the meat from the freezer and put it right into the microwave. Was not asked for any white or hot sauce,which I was given the option before,instead I got home to a very small amount of of meat on minute rice with salad. It was covered in what I assume was salad dressing of some sort. I assumed that it came with a pita like before, but no. Just one plastic fork and not even a napkin. The owner looks in over his head. What I mistook before as hard work upon revisiting just came across as disarray and chaos. edit response to owner...... ya bud,, I wanted free food,give me a break.....address the microwaved garbage you served. I wanted value for my money. I ordered, was never asked like before for anything "extra" you call it. Was surprisingly handed a sealed bag which I assumed had the "extras" already in it. If this was normal, why did you give an excuse that your workers were new? Your wife made the goddam food and not once did I ask for my money back !...
