This is Sandeep. I could have been to different PIZZA PIZZA's for more than 500 times in Canada.
Today was the most ridiculous experience at the PIZZA PIZZA on 1508 Upper James St, Hamilton, ON L9B 1K3. I made an order which was taken wrong by the CSR (listen to the recording). Upon my request, the Manager and the pizza maker decided to make another pizza and wanted to charge me for the extra pizza that they made a mistake as well (I ordered 2 pizza's and they want to charge me for 3 pizzas). I denied paying and the manager started abusing and yelling at me.
He calls himself a manager and doesn't have the dignity of speaking to a customer. With all the arrogance and shamelessness, he calls the OWNER of the PIZZA PIZZA and explained him/her the situation. The owner doesn't have the dignity to speak or take charge of the situation either. I completely don't understand how PIZZA PIZZA is able to hire such people as OWNERS and MANAGERS. He is incapable of working at any facility where people come for food and peace of mind.
I as a customer want quality of food for the price you people have been charging. If PIZZA PIZZA doesn't carry the capability of hiring people, training people, taking proper food orders, making proper food, mention it on your website and billboards that you and the employees can't respect the customer and the customers will decide if they should order from you people or go to other places.

Extremely disappointed with the rude and unprofessional behavior of the staff member — a Punjabi lady working during my visit. She was constantly on the phone while customers and Uber drivers waited for assistance, paying little to no attention to anyone. When asked about the order status, she kept saying "7 minutes," then "5 more minutes," and eventually "1 more minute" — but it actually took 6 more minutes after that ( it took 20+ min for small order ). When I questioned the delay, she arrogantly replied, "We are working on big orders," suggesting that small orders aren’t a priority. This is not professional behavior.
Staff should treat customers and delivery drivers politely and respectfully. If time estimates fail, a simple apology and some empathy go a long way — not attitude. It’s disappointing to see such poor service at a well-known chain. The way this staff member interacted lacked basic courtesy and consideration, which should be a minimum standard in any customer-facing role.
The owner and franchiser must take this seriously and ensure staff are properly trained in customer service. It takes time and effort to build a brand’s reputation, but just one poorly behaved employee can ruin it in moments. Read moreI ordered over the phone the pickup special 1 medium topping pizza , I asked for it to be well done. When I arrived at the store shortly after I reminded the person working behind the counter that I wanted it well done , there was only 1 person working at the store. The employee tells me that the cheese will get brown if I get it well done , I told him that was okay. When I got the pizza it was not well done but was doughy , thick and chewy. I had to throw away the last 2 slices. I literally go to pizza pizza every other day (don’t judge me I know it’s not healthy lol ) it’s my guilty pleasure.
I don’t understand after so much talk about the pizza being well done , the pizza was still left under done.
My go to pizza pizza is the one located at 833 upper James @ Mohawk rd I wanted to try something different as in another location which was close to me. I was wrong for cheating on my home location.
Next time a customer tells you something , you do it without any questions if it’s a reasonable request such as getting the pizza well done I don’t know why the employees are wasting their time explaining things to their customers such as “the cheese will get brown “ don’t insult my intelligence.
