My mom and I came for The Office Trivia night at the new space Hub of the Hammer is using called the Town Hall eatery located on Concession street in Hamilton. I do wish they had parking. The street parking wasn't an issue because of the time and day but if we were visiting on a weekend or Thursday or Friday night it probably would be. This place isn't like your normal restaurant there's 4 or 5 different options within the establishment for you to eat from. So it's like a food court set up but with a full bar. They do have a standard menu and a nice variety of different beers hard liquor and wines. I decided to try the smoked barbecue chicken club minus the bacon. For my sides I had fries as well as their mac and cheese. The sandwich was very delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed it. The fries were good I just didn't really care for the style of fries but they were good. The mac and cheese was also very flavourful but not creamy enough for me. I like lots of cheese and a creamy sauce but like I said it still tasted very good. The prices are definitely reasonable and they have other theme nights like Friday's is karaoke and Wednesdays they do a general trivia night with $5 tall boy beers! I will definitely be back and looking forward to trying something else off their menu!

Excited for this restaurant on the street with lots of seating inside and a bit out. However, staff need more/better training and/or time to figure things out as we were waiting over an hour for our tacos the one time. (This place is still relatively new when I'm writing) We will be back as it's a good option and hoping it gets even better. Food: Fried foods seem to be the best - the chicken fingers and fish sandwich from the bar were really good. The tacos from Tuesdays were okay - would be nice to see a bit more interesting toppings. The poke bowl was a bit lack luster and would like to see a bit more for the price. Chips and guac were good. Interested to see what the wine and bread place will offer. Caesar salad has a bit too much dressing but that's just my preference, may ask for the dressing on the side next time. Family friendly and big single use washrooms and end one with change table.

Cool place, just on the cusp of being greater. Food was good and the concept was cool. But I can see why it's sitting at 4.0 on Google. Seems that staff are a little bit disorganized and not super experienced. The vibe and decor is pretty cool but it's missing that certain, overall vibe. it's hard to put a finger on it. Maybe if it was busier filled with more people on a Friday. I renovate restaurants for a living, the decor, design and millwork is cool. But it has a slightly cheap feel. Little things like the washroom door being a struggle to close. Needs just a slight refinement. Maybe it needs a little more decor inside to feel full when it's 70% empty. Overall a good experience though, lots of beer selection. Local craft and generic domestic. The food was good, lots of options. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Will try again. Cool place.

I'm going to share some brutal honesty here. Being local community members we looked forward to checking out Townhall. 2 of my kids were busy so we took the other 2 here for dinner tonight. Menus seem limited in variety, we received food from 2 different restaurants, Salted Pig & Tuesdays. First my husband and I were completely done our meals and still waiting for our boys meals to be served from Tuesdays. It was probably 20mins and yet only 3 tables with patrons in the entire place. The food was not bad, not great but not bad. Mediocre. The cheese on poutine not melted, the packaged lunch meat I'd expect better on my beef dip and my husband's fries. My son said his burrito was tasty from Tuesdays. But again both boys ordered from Tuesdays and 1 got their meal and 5mins later the tacos for the next. I will sy the boy who served us behind the counter did apologize for the wait. The vibe is a good one and I think potential is there but I feel like organization, details and options are lacking. A couple were closed and maybe that's why.

I will definitely wait awhile before I try again. Treating a family to dinner out is an expensive venture and when it's not completely delicious and worth it, it is disappointing. However maybe with time and more experience this establishment will get better On a side note I had gone to Dirty South a couple weeks back and was told they stopped serving bacon Jam but to get my fix from Salted Pig. When I asked tonight the girl had no idea what...

I've had 3 experiences thus far and all 3 I'd say are on the negative side. 1st ordered in Taproom before the indoor was open and found it mainly inedible. But I gave the benefit of the doubt to being the delivery and maybe it just doesn't travel well. 2nd. Incline coffee one morning drink was fine tastewise just an odd experience in terms of service. Went to Tuesdays last night and got the beef barbacoa tacos- these were the blandest tacos I have ever attempted to consume. I had maybe 5 bites total. It was soggy beef that felt like was just boiled in a pot of water without ever seeing a seasoning and the topping is just cojita cheese and raw white onion so nothing to try to bring a flavour in to hide it. Also seems like they need a better system after ordering for getting your food as they said they would call our names but the music inside is so loud that you can't hear them and this was with us sitting near the booth, if we ordered taproom and were in the main space or sitting further away you'd have no idea the food was ready. We just watched for food to be on the counter and would go over to check each time if...
