Update:
I'd like to provide an update on my experience after posting my previous review and speaking with the owner of Twisted Indian Wraps. We had a very honest and forthcoming conversation about the situation that I explained below. I have to say that the customer service I received was not only prompt and very much appreciated but refreshing. I emailed him once I recieved a response on my review and we spoke shortly after. He explained to me all of the steps taken to rectify the unpleasant experience that I had and graciously offered two replacement bowls of my choosing free of charge. I greatly appreciated this because as a family, we LOVE Indian food and I had ordered a bowl before and been completely satisfied with it in its delicious entirety. My husband picked up 2 superbowls tonight, a meal we had been looking forward to all week and it was SO GOOD. There was never an issue with the quality or taste of the food to begin with, and to top it off, the bowl was in fact full to the brim as I had originally expected. As you can see from the photos, it is clear that my last order was not a true reflection of how this restaurant conducts business. It is clear how much they care about their customers and their business. We are happy that we've found another Indian restaurant to add to our list of ones with the most authentic flavour. Thank you again for allowing us another opportunity to enjoy and experience what your restaurant has to offer.
Previous review:
I ordered two build your own meat and rice bowls today for me and my friend. We were very surprised at how small the portions were for $18.99 plus tax, delivery etc etc.. as you can see in the photo the bowl is half full. The were only given a tablespoon of the toppings that we ordered (I.e. purple cabbage, carrot match sticks etc.). In my bowl, there was so little carrot I had to dig to find it. We called and complained, the person on the phone was polite but the language barrier made it difficult to comprehend each other (sorry). I was told to order a pop, and another bowl would be added for free, however, I would be paying probably almost $10 for this pop through the skip the dish app and nothing would have been free. It was a confusing solution. The food was good, this is my second time ordering and this was not my first experience which is why I re ordered. However, I can't recommend this place unfortunately because of how disappointed we were with the portion and what it cost. It wasn't a full lunch for us. The description should explain that it's a HALF bowl of food, this is not a "bowl" like you'd typically get when you order one from another establishment. We got these two dishes and the samosa chaat (very good) and it cost me almost $60. For anyone ordering the meat rice bowl and you didn't want to pay $23.99 (plus plus plus) for the super bowl, don't get it, its very small. We were told she made the portions correct. A tablespoon is not an appropriate form of measurement for an adult wanting to eat a full lunch. I would argue the carrot added was actually a teaspoon. Perhaps this is shrinkflation, but, not okay. It's too bad that the customer service and quantity didn't match the quality...
Read moreMy Aunt lives down the street from here, & last year when me & my mother visited, I found out there was a Twisted Indian Wrap location here in Hamilton. Right from when I entered the Owner was so kind, heartwarming, courteous, & approachable with a big smile.
You know that feeling when you eat your favourite food, & it feels like a party in your stomach, & your whole soul feels satisfied, no bloating, no stomach pains, just blissful satisfaction, well this food definitely lives up to the owners TLC for how him & his staff prepare their food. Absolutely out of this world delicious! Every bite of food makes you crave more. It's like eating a cuisine from a 5 star hotel. The food isn't too hot, or too cold, literally the perfect temperature.
The backstory is there used to be a Twisted Indian Wrap where I live here in Mississauga at creekside crossing near Dixie/Dundas. For whatever reason they closed which is a terrible shame. I knew the owners, probably too costly during covid. Tonight I literally drove all the way from Etobicoke, to Hamilton just to eat this heavenly food. I've been powerlifting & working out for more than 11 years, & I can truthfully say hands down this had to be one of my top 3 BEST! post workout meals I've ever ate. 4 Samosas, & Twisted's infamous Crispy Chicken Sandwich with a myriad of sauces for dipping.
I specifically want to give a shoutout to S.J. My man you're a good soul! He went above and beyond his job to make my 2nd visit here a memorable one. Very kind, courteous, & a helpful staff member. Thank you all once again, & look forward to...
Read moreI'm lowering my review due to our last 4-5 visits. I have found it very annoying that they smother your food with their sauces, even after you tell them "just a little bit". On multiple occasions, I told them I didn't want a certain sauce (and want less of another) but they argued with us saying "this is the way it was meant to be served". I don't care how you want it, it's added calories and fat we don't need, plus it overwhelms the flavours. I'm paying for and eating this meal, please don't argue with the customers and please, when someone says a "little bit", we mean 1/4 of what you use. We really don't appreciate a soupy mess on top of our meals.
Also, our latest visit on March 28, 2022, the butter chicken was awful. The sauce was wonderful but the chicken was so hard and chewy, we all had to pick it out of our meals. Starting to think this place is already going down-hill, too bad because it was amazing for a while. I also was not impressed when I ordered a Kids Poutine ($6) and charged us for a full...
