China8 — Restaurant in Hanover

Wow great food, huge portions, fast service. We over ordered not knowing the portions were so large.

The fried wontons we're loaded with cheese, and again a massive portion for the price.

The chicken wings were excellent the box was jam-packed.

Beef pad Thai was very good just enough heat super flavorful nice portion

Chicken chop suey was loaded with chicken just enough sauce lots of flavor.

The coconut shrimp was not what I was expecting but was very good this isn't the dry crispy shrimp. It's battered shrimp with a sort of sweet coconut sauce. Still very good.

The vegetable egg foo young was killer. Four nice size rounds in an order.

And as usual very good Chinese food makes excellent leftovers even cold.

Coming from Calgary Alberta I don't think we'll be passing through Hanover again but if we ever did this place is a must visit.

We thought we would try a new style Chinese Take Out and give China8 a go. We are so sorry to give you a bad review. We ordered the Chicken Balls, Chow Main, rice combo. The chicken balls were tiny and several of them were actually shrimp. The Chow Main tasted peppery and burnt. In fact all the chicken had the same oily overdone flavour. The egg rolls were even overdone and greasy. The meal tasted like it had all been stir fried in the same pot with the same dirty oil. 1/2 hour after having some, we both began to complain of a heavy stomach. A few hours later it was really bad and it lasted through the evening. As some have already mentioned, for the most part the food is lacking flavour and something was definitely off with the cooks this evening. Sorry, but never again. Paid $64.18 for our take out , got everyones plates ready including kids sat down to eat and as we were half way done my almond soo guy was under cooked and pink , right away turned off from the rest of my food i called to explain my situation and their policy is they want to see the food before reimbursement. Living out side of hanover and with only my peice to show i said it wasnt worth the trip for me could they least reimburse half because at this point im throwing all the food out and they refused . Just watch your food people its unfortunate that you spend so much money for a night out of eating and things cant even be made right. I will not be supporting this chinese restaurant any more when there are plenty of other in the area who have years of good experience to...
