Follow-up: someone there realized the occurrence and made a FRESH pizza prior to actual scheduled pick up. The pizza is still good there when we order, and we continue to order from them. The fact that they looked into this and followed through shows customer satisfaction is important. I would recommend them.
Initial event: Normally, they are quite dependable as long as you don't need to make a change. However, after ordering online and realizing I missed the spot to change the pickup time, I called immediately to tell them I needed to make the change before they started it. They asked to put me on hold and left me there for ten minutes before I hung up and called back to find out they were putting the pizza in the oven while I waited and I won't be heading there for over two hours. When I indicated I won't be there until much later, they basically shrugged me off and then hung up on me. I had already paid but this is unexpected customer service. It was giving mixed messages as to whether I had placed an order, multiple orders, or not at all. When I arrived at the Hanover Pizza Hut, I found out that my order had not been placed. I explained my situation to the employee, noting that I did not know if my points had been redeemed or not, due to the website glitch. Hardik showed great customer service in listening to my issue, empathizing with my frustrating online experience, and then offering me a free, two topping, medium pizza. He made the pizza immediately. I waited in my car, while it was in the oven. In no time at all, Hardik was at the store entry bringing the pizza out to me in the parking lot. This employee did a great job at customer service. He went above and beyond to make sure that I left Pizza Hut this evening having a positive experience: turning frustration into a smile. My daughter ordered delivery, got a notification that the food was delivered (it wasn't ) she called the store to see what was going on , but couldn't understand the worker so I took the phone. He kept arguing with me that there was no order in her name (I had the confirmation right infront of me) I was trying to tell him the confirmation number and he hung up on me!! Literally, hung up.. Great customer service you have. I ended up driving her down to get it (I was ill, she doesn't drive.. hense the delivery) I will admit that I was furious having to drive there because I was hung up on. Her food was there, in the warmer ! The worker said she would be compensated for her food (I wasn't asking for her food to be free, I wanted the delivery fee back as we had to go pick it up) its been 3 weeks now and no compensation! BEWARE...
