Roma Pizza And Donair — Restaurant in Jasper Place

Would have given a higher score for a local space- the donair is tasty could use some more sauce, just sayin, but this place is good. If they started adding fries in the donair it would be a game changer of a place.

The lower score is for things that happened when i arrived. I called ahead and ordered a donair. I got there within 15 minutes and as i pulled it looked like every other person had showed up as well which was annoying but i get it not the stores fault. I try to get in an out during a pandemic.

I paid for my order and waited spaced out with about 7 people. The man behind me coughed which added to my annoyance. The person who worked there was taking phone orders and lowering his mask to talk into the phone. I get it, with a mask your voice is muffled BUT taking your mask off to speak during a pandemic inside a small space where you're handling food and close to your coworkers is a no. I'm not sure how they can better do the phone orders without removing a mask - perhaps put him in the back six feet away from others but this is a recipe for disaster.

The other part i don't enjoy is they don't take names or a number so you're left looking at other customers as they yell out donair wondering if you're getting the correct order. I wanted to get out that I would have walked away with any order had someone not claimed it. As a finally got my order he said sorry for the wait which annoyed me again as it confirmed he knew I waited a long time for an order that should have been ready since i called 20 minutes...

Donairs are pretty decent, good portions but the meat was thinly sliced. Made it slightly dry and messy with a bunch of small pieces falling out each bite. Flavour was great, good spices and piping hot, thankful to have the meat grilled. There was a mistake on my wife's donair and she got tzatziki sauce instead of sweet sauce. She hates tzatziki. This actually worked out perfectly for me since I got to eat her donair as well. Service overall was good except for the debacle of trying to phone in my order. I had to call my order in 3 times because the one dude that answered the phone must have a brain injury or might be legally deaf and kept hanging up on me mid order. So third try a woman answered and took the time to take my order in full and was very pleasant and gave me an accurate timeline of when my order would be ready. Would recommend the donairs here, next time I'll just walk...

Great food but horrible customer service agrued with the manager about something simple as they put something in my food I can't have and I didn't notice till I ate some of it and puked it up cux my stomach doesn't agree with it, all I was asking for was my money back or two new donairs for me and my friend since they both had same problem and he continued to say it was my fault and that I was in the wrong, I go there so often that have asked what is in it tons of times all they said was the three things that I'm fine with and so I said yes everything. I only ended up getting not even half my money back and a huge argument for something simple I work in food industry and we would have just given refund or made u new food.
