PERFECT CHICKEN SANDWICH AND BEST PICKLES IN TOWN…. BUT…….I NEVER GET FIRES WITH MY DELIVERY! One of the most baffling and frustrating aspects of my repeated experience with Popeyes through DoorDash is the consistent inclusion of gravy in my order, despite the glaring absence of fries. This recurring situation highlights a major logical fallacy: why include gravy, which is specifically meant to accompany fries, when the fries themselves never show up?
Gravy, as delicious as it may be, serves little purpose without something to pair it with. Popeyes’ gravy is typically ordered as a dip for their fries, adding an extra layer of flavor and richness to an already well-seasoned side. However, the fact that Popeyes consistently manages to include the gravy while leaving out the fries makes absolutely no sense. It’s as if they’re acknowledging that the fries are part of the order by sending the gravy along, but then they forget to actually include the fries themselves, the very item the gravy is meant to complement.
This is a clear contradiction in the execution of my orders. It reflects a disconnect in the preparation process—someone is aware enough to add the gravy, but not thorough enough to ensure the fries are included. The logic of including an accessory to a side dish that never arrives defies reason. It would be like receiving a burger order with ketchup packets, but no burger. What am I supposed to do with just the gravy? While I could use it with other items like the sandwich, it’s obviously intended for the fries, which leaves me confused and frustrated when they are always missing.
This inconsistency also suggests that the error isn’t just random or due to oversight but points to a deeper issue in quality control. How can a fast food chain like Popeyes manage to get part of the order right but consistently fail to deliver the main item? It’s as if their process for assembling orders is flawed to the point where they’re remembering the details, like gravy, but neglecting the essentials, like fries. The fact that this has happened multiple times adds insult to injury, making it seem almost absurd. Why not just leave out the gravy too, if the fries aren’t coming?
Ultimately, the inclusion of gravy without fries is not just an error in order fulfillment but a logical fallacy that amplifies my frustration. It’s a frustrating reminder that my meal is incomplete, a symbol of the inconsistency that keeps me from enjoying the full Popeyes experience through DoorDash. If Popeyes can include the gravy, they should certainly be able to...
Read moreI went there and asked about a specific ingredient for allergy reasons. The man at the counter stated it did not contain the stated allergen and a second employee overheard this and didn’t say anything. When we got the food I suspected it had the allergen and went to the counter and asked to see the ingredient list for their fried chicken batter. After about 5-10 minutes of watching the second employee flip through binders (didn’t let me look) I suspected he was stalling (this is the ingredient list for their main item, fried chicken). I asked for a refund and the number of the store manager. They refunded the order, but refused to give me the number, stating they could give me the general store number. Instead I decided to give feedback to the Popeyes website. I got a response apologizing and stating I would hear back from the franchisee, that was 3 months ago and no response. I got an automated follow up email asking if I was satisfied, I replied I wasn’t satisfied as I didn’t hear back from the franchisee and no response to that. Perhaps posting on Google reviews will get a...
Read moreI ordered twice this month from Popeyes, and I got bad chicken. Either they're knowingly frying bad chicken or they're not storing the chicken properly, not cleaning the chicken properly...something is going wrong. First time, I got sour tasting smelly chicken, I threw that out. This time, the chicken didn't smell bad but tasted extra chickeny, and since I ate it believing it is fine, it gave me food poisoning. None of this should happen with chicken. It's time to check the raw meat storage unit, to clean out the unit, to throw out expired chicken, to date chicken, to have better inventory control, to retrain staff in handling raw meat, etc. If possible make one staff as a taste tester to avoid this kind of mishaps. Aren't there any mandatory food inspection for restaurants and fast foods by food inspectors in Kamloops. If there is an office, ask their guidance on this matter. You got the best recipe and loyal customers why ruin it. If you go to work the next day, a sleepless night and the accompanying headache and dizziness doesn't do...
