The coffee was good, standard. The issue was the washroom and some of the staff, some were nice and friendly, and some could use a little customer service refreshing. But, this is probably not an issue of the staff, but of management...
The locked washrooms is understandable, the "with purchase" is less so since you are not some mom and pop shop that can't afford to let people use the bathroom. Now, I get that this is a way to attempt mitigating unseemly issues in the washroom by limiting it to customers.. but then use some discretion maybe.
I was there for a little over an hour, and any time someone asked to use the washroom, they just automatically say "did you make a purchase" "do you have a purchase" "where is your purchase" "you need to make a purchase." The "militant" approach to you washrooms leads one to believe that this is management pushing it and not the staff.
So how about, if you are going to push this so hard, then you also train your staff to pay attention to who your customers are, use discretion, or maybe some common sense skills to figure out if someone has already made a purchase or not and not make them feel like an unwelcome guest that you don't want to use your facilities. We have already paid for our purchases and when we get up from our tables, you won't even head towards the button to open the door until we answer your purchase question.
Like damn, chill. I wasn't the first person this happened to while I was there. It was my second time using the washroom after sitting there on my laptop with my two purchases and someone watched me grab most of my stuff and walk towards them to ask for the bathroom and STILL they asked me for my purchase and even after I said I did, I had to literally point to a drink that was still sitting there and say its right here before she would move a muscle towards the button.
I get that you are a big corp coffee shop, but that doesn't mean that you can't still put in a little effort to still give it the friendly neighbourhood...

On July 5th around 1:30pm, I had been feeling incredibly sick due to an anxiety attack, so I suggested to my boyfriend that we stop at this Starbucks to purchase a water bottle and snacks. Since I was nauseous, I went straight to the washroom and my boyfriend decided to just get the water for me to return to. My boyfriend noticed that there was no water bottles available, so he decided to simply ask for a water cup-- Completely happy to pay for it.
A young caucasian brunette employee wearing a pink claw clip was taking his order. Upon hearing the ever-so-simple task of just filling up a small cup with water, she rolls her eyes and then turns to her other coworkers which were also all young women and then says (out loud for him to hear) "I'm not even gonna fight it... I can't do this today." The other workers responded by giving him weird looks and whispering amongst themselves.
My boyfriend wasn't sure of my order and just wanted to help since I was recovering from a panic attack. I was going to grab an actual order of a drink and sandwich, but we decided to leave.
It has never been an issue at any other Starbucks I go to to just simply order water. I've ordered water (and even just a cup of ice) on campus many times and they've happily complied. If you hate your job so much, I don't understand why it'd be a chore to just fill up a cup of water. She had even spilled a bunch of caramel onto the cup (If this was an accident, that's fine).
I'd assume this was a group of teenage girls, since it'd be unbelievable to think actual adults would be this petty over such a simple order. A cup...
Read moreI didn’t really want to post a review but I order from this Starbucks every single day before work and I keep on getting disappointed. I always order my matcha with no foam and I ask them to fill it to the top but almost every single time they don’t fill it to the top. In the photo below and many orders I’ve had there’s always foam and sooo much room at the top! If I order a venti I feel like I’m just missing out on so much of the 7 dollar drink I pay for before every shift. I asked them to fill it to the top once, and I watched them pour the wrong milk substitute into my drink which causes me horrible stomach pain… in addition to my drink order being made wrong every single time I order, the wait times for my order has been ridiculous. I like going to Starbucks because they usually make my order quick before work, but lately this has been a stressful situation. It’s taken me 20+ minutes 3 times for me to get my order. There was one time that the wait was so ridiculous it actually made me late to work which was very upsetting. I hope this Starbucks can do better so I can continue coming here. I do want to mention the reason I gave more than one star was because the staff is always very friendly and I...
