TL;DR - Backdated to December 18. I used to enjoy coming here but they clearly value take out customers over dine in customers. It's a shame cause it was a great place to eat before. Food: I was going to rate the food (Bun Rieu, Salad Rolls, Pho Dac Biet, etc.) five out of five (cause it really did taste pretty good and a reasonable price) however the salad rolls (more on this later), the utensils and cups were all dirty and despite asking several times for clean replacements we ended up just cleaning the tea cups and utensils ourselves. So gross. For example, I asked for scissors to cut up food for our baby. The first pair came out looking like it had been used for bush whacking. Second pair came out with slight improvement but used my wet wipes to complete the job. Further to this, the salad rolls came out looking like it had rolled off the plate and then placed back on the dish. One of the rolls was so bad we couldn't even brush off whatever it was that was stuck to it. The one roll that appeared to be clean we ate and it tasted good. I wish I had taken a photo of the bean sprouts as the mint leaves were basically more black than green and the old and new bean sprouts were mixed in together which I have never seen at a Viet restaurant before. We couldn't even really use the sad looking veggies they brought out. Service: I feel bad for the one lady because she clearly was trying hard but had no experience as a server. We were the only table in there and a second table joined shortly thereafter. A third table showed up when we were preparing to leave. Nonetheless, it was not busy in there. Server took almost ten minutes to attend to us when we got in. We had time to set up at table, tear down, and move to another table while we were waiting for service (see "Atmosphere" below for more info on this). When she brought the soup she came running and almost spilled the soup on us and the baby seat which was at the edge of the table. I saw this coming and stopped her before it happened. Exactly as I predicted, she ended up splashing the soup on the floor and our shoes. The second time she came around I just offered to place the soup bowls in her behalf instead of having hot scalding soup poured on our toddler or ouselrves. The final blow was when we asked for take out boxes and the boxes were so small the actual salad rolls didn't fit in them, we had to squish them in there. This business is so incredibly cheap they even tried to skimp on take out containers. Unbelievable. Once again I feel bad for the lady, she seemed relatively new ( and untrained, which is not her fault) but this seems to be a company culture thing as it was the boss who brought out the take out containers. Atmosphere: Not busy at all on this occasion but I've been in here before when it was busy at the atmosphere is usually pretty great. Seems they value take out orders over dine-in customers, though. When we arrived the tables were all dirty on the one end of the restaurant with the booths, which we tried to make do with, but since they only had one door operating on the west side, every time the Uber pickup came in it blew cold wind in that direction so we couldn't sit there with the baby, so we only had a few options for where to sit and the table that was available was in front of a window with no blinds. So the sun was in our face for some of the meal. On top of that the baby seat was very dirty we had to clean it ourself. Lastly, we didn't really get any service this whole time other than being brought a dirty baby seat.

Short story: Questionable cleanliness/care in the kitchen, fine tasting food, better prices can be found elsewhere, and servers that ignore you. Friday 9pm (1hr before close). Came in with husband for Bun vermicelli bowls. I ordered the tofu bowl because I'm vegetarian. It was good at the start but the server never visited us at all after because she was sitting down to eat with other people (the only other table besides ours). Halfway through I took a bite and there was a big chunk of meat! I set it to the side and waved down the server. All she said was "Oh... I'll tell them" before leaving for the kitchen. She never came back (at other restaurants, the server would at least apologize, offer to make a new bowl or offer a discount). I decided it would be ok to continue eating, thinking it was just 1 piece and a simple mistake. Turns out, there were more small pieces of meat as I to closer to the bottom. 1 chunk and several small pieces. It made me realize that I had probably ate quite a few pieces without knowing, and that the kitchen has a problem (cleanliness? Cross contamination?). I decided then, that I would not eat anymore. The server didn't come out at all, we waited a very long time and eventually put on our jackets and had to stand around at the counter before being noticed. I told her that I found meat and did not feel comfortable eating the rest. She consulted the kitchen then informed me that she could offer 50% off my dish. I made my case that there was a significant amount of meat in a dish that was clearly meant to be vegetarian, it was disgusting, and I didn't think it fair to pay for. The server argued that because I had eaten half of it, she could only offer 50%. Ok fine but I would never had eaten so much if I had known there was so much meat floating around in the bowl that I couldn't see. The chef came out and it felt like she was glaring at me. I dont think my point came across so all I could ask was that they be more careful next time.

I stumbled across this hidden gem. I had the pleasure to have lunch and some good appetizers. This place was really clean, the customer service was awesome and prices are really fair. I tried a vermicelli bowl, along with salad rolls, onion cake and seafood pancake. I would really recommend to try this restaurant. I honestly like reviewing all types of restaurants and some of the moms and pops places are my favourite. I find that they are very caring about their food and service. Keep on eating and have fun. #chicosreviews

I am a frequenter of pho restaurants around the city and have been to over 20 places in Edmonton that serve pho, this experience was so bad I felt the need to review it. Do not come here.

Went to Spring roll Kitchen experience 10/07/24 was so bad I left without paying. Note I did not eat the food. First the server was an old man who didn't understand English, so he couldn't take my order (Pho special no bean sprouts extra green onion and hot water) and didn't understand a thing I said. He was also rude that I wanted slight modifications. There was also no one there during peak dinner time (6:43 pm). Then, they brought out the lady who did understand English after a while but I don't know why they didn't have her waiting tables it's not like she couldn't leave the kitchen because no one is there. Plus the old man should be retired. Then the lady manager fought with a Doordash driver saying they couldn't fix a mistake they made with a customer. I order the special pho, and it didn't have all the cuts of meat in it: no tendon, brisket, flank, or steak it was just meatball, tripe bits, and fatty flank. Other Google reviews confirm this is not the first time they tried to scam people. Because of previous reviews I inspected my food before eating it. I'm glad I did. The staff wanted to inspect it in the kitchen, I made the manager come out to inspect it infront of me so they can't mess with the order. I offer to eat the food at a discounted price otherwise it would be a waste. Then they insist on cook a new one, so I let them take it to the back. I searched for a new place to go and just dipped, couldn't trust they wouldn't spit in my food or something to retaliate against me. Went to Pho Than great experience after that.

I know the staff check the reviews, I don't want your apology or anything just close your restaurant if you can't serve people proper food as stated...
