Always enjoy going to Edmonton's original Bubble Tea. There's always a chance to try something new since their menu is so large and always changing to keep up with what is popular. There are times where many items are sold out and that can be a tad annoying. I normally go for fresh fruit, especially in the summer, and I always find that they do a great job of making fresh fruit drinks. There's a large variety of add-ins as well. Will always return!
Edit: Went today (March13) and they ignore their own protocols. One day they'll request that people follow the maximum 4 person allowed in store but today they allowed in more because they were other employees who were not working that day. The two were also putting in an order just like any other customer and should have been treated as such. These employees should also know their own work protocols and follow them. If not, why have any in place? Also, the kitchen was packed with way more employees than I've ever seen even before Covid. Although the bubble tea is still good and I'd still return every once in a while, my respect for them has...
Read moreReally disappointing experience at Dream Tea. I called 15 minutes ahead to place my order and was told it would be ready. When I arrived, there were 6–7 groups in line. Since my drinks were already made and labeled, I went to the counter to pay and pick up. Instead of just letting me pay and go, the staff told me I had to go to the back of the line just to pay, even though the drinks were sitting right there.
When I finally got to the front again, I said I’d be using Amex. Tap didn’t work, insert didn’t work — then I was casually told they don’t accept Amex at all. No sign, no warning. On top of that, they handed me three drinks with no tray or bag. I asked for one and was told it would be 20 cents. Seriously? I would've payed if I was offered the choice.
At that point, I asked to speak to the manager, which is something I never do. Instead of listening or trying to understand, the manager dismissed my concerns entirely and acted like there was no problem at all.
Really poor customer service and absolutely no effort to make things right. I won’t be...
Read moreWent there at noon on a Friday. There were only 2 other people in the store when I walked in so I didn't think it would take too long. Ordered two drinks and during the next 30 minutes, they have served at least a handful of skip the dishes drivers promptly while leaving the in store customers waiting. Both customers in front of me ended up coming back with the wrong drinks and naturally they would need to serve them first. When I inquired about my wait time after half an hour, the girl at the front was very apologetic and said would check on it. She went to the back to help out only to be rudely yelled at by the lady at the back telling her she needed to take care of the "big orders first". I can appreciate that it was stressful to have to serve numerous skip orders with walk ins coming in, perhaps you should have more staff around lunch time? Having to wait for 2 drinks for 35 minutes without forewarning was thoughtless. :( At least our drinks were made right...
