I took my family on a “Guess Where Trip” called butter tart trail. We were on are last stop of the day and we’re hungry and saw Daylight Diner across the street from where we parked. Being from Brampton and being city folk we assume all restaurants are open all day so we didn’t look at the hours. We were greeted promptly and were seated immediately. We placed our order and it seemed like five minutes went by and we had our food. My wife and daughter ordered breakfast at 2 o’clock in the afternoon. My son got chicken fingers and fries and I got a burger and fries. My burger was delicious and the fries were great. No one had a complaint about the food which is unusual for my family. We got the bill and the cost was very reasonable for the amount of food we got. As we walked out I turned to the door and saw them closing for the day. I looked at the hours and saw they closed at two and it was two thirty by the time we left. If we were in Brampton we would’ve be told we’re closed. Thank you so much for feeding us on your own time much appreciated. We’ll be back if we’re ever in the area. During regular business...

Read moreI had the worst “grilled cheese” sandwich — at least that’s what it was called on the menu — I’ve ever had in my life! It was just cold toast (not grilled with butter on the outside of the bread) with 1 slice of semi-melted, what looked like orange Kraft “rubber” cheese inside. It was dry as a bone! Not only that but the slices of toast were from a tiny sized bread loaf. Lol It was actually awful. I had a better grilled cheese sandwich at a restaurant in Egypt when I was there last month. Now that’s just sad! And my partner’s vegetable omelette should have been called an “onion omelette” with a few other veggies. He was not happy with it at all. Sadly, we won’t be returning — it was a fave for brunch when it was Shaker’s Diner...
