Update - December 22
Beware the older server with the funky eyeglasses. Just drove 45 minutes to enjoy the most delicious fish sandwich available in the kawarthas. A date-treat for my wife and I, and we were pleased to find the restaurant uncrowded. Only three of the six tables in the bar side were in use. This server has always been "crusty" but we've put up with her curtness over the years because the owner is so wonderful and the food is amazing.
After barely a greeting she tried to shove us in a tiny two top on the other side and we asked to be in the bar. She told us we weren't allowed to dine there as tables were for parties of four. When I questioned why two of the six four tops were occupied by two people I was told that they were regulars.
And that was that. She was just "doing what she was told". After pointing out that the place was not only uncrowded but that 2/3's of their customers in here were couples at four tops she finally said we could "sit where we want".
Straw that broke the camels back with this woman and the cold, inhospitable rudeness constantly displayed from this server is enough. Goodbye Graz, you just lost two customers who visit you monthly. Guess we're not "regulars" enough.

Absolutely wonderful spot. We've passed by it for years and shame on us. Popped in today for a super delicious lunch and drinks, and had a great chat with our server. He's given us a list of menu items to try next...
Read moreI rarely write reviews, but I’m so disgusted by my experience at this place, I feel compelled to warn others.
Let’s start with the good: the servers were nice and polite, and the food was… okay. It wasn’t anything special, but it wasn’t terrible either. The issue, however, lies solely with the disastrous service, which I blame entirely on the owner.
We waited over 1.25 hours for our food. When we asked about it, the owner didn’t even try to offer an apology or an explanation. Instead, he was downright rude and condescending, and when I addressed the delay, he acted like it was our fault. But that wasn’t even the worst part. His behavior was completely unprofessional. I was stunned by his attitude, and honestly, the way he spoke to us left me feeling disgusted.
How does a restaurant owner treat paying customers with such disrespect? It was like they didn’t even care. The servers may have been doing their best, but clearly, they have no control over the incompetence of their boss.
I will never be coming back here, and I strongly suggest you stay far away unless you want to experience unprofessionalism at its finest. If you’re looking for a pleasant meal with even a sense of customer service,...
Read moreUnfortunately I was underwhelmed with this experience, which is too bad as I was looking forward to it. We got there around 645 on a Wednesday and were seated relatively quickly. It was pretty full in there and took sometime to get attention for a drinks order and to order food which is all good. We got our drinks and it was about 35 mins until I could get attention for another beer and where our food was. It then took another 10-15 mins to get our main.
My wife got a fish sandwich, it was really dry and I took a bite and it literally tasted like the frozen fish patties from the grocery store. Poor flavour and needed sauce, I think they actually forgot to add it so we asked for some more after sitting around for 10 mins for someone’s attention.
I had the ribs and wild rice with coleslaw. Coleslaw came in the same sized dish as the ketchup being served and the wild rice was DRY. I’ll say the ribs were pretty good, outside were overcooked but middle of rack was better.
I definitely won’t be returning, it’s not worth the gamble to hope it’s better.
The atmosphere and restaurant were nice. Definitely tight in...
