It offers typical sports bar food - tasty enough, but...
A very uninspired beer menu offering every bland option available in the province. With a local microbrewery around the corner, it would be good to offer their products as well.
It was about the only thing we could find open on a Monday at 1:00 pm.
It's fine but just barely.
Edit: Just responding to 72 Bolton's temper tantrum about being called out for offering nothing but Molson Coors and Labatt products on their menu.
Suggesting that you don't serve beers from a local brewery because then I wouldn't visit that brewery is ridiculous. Perhaps if you did promote them, I would be more inclined to visit them and take some home with me. This would be a way of helping local businesses rather than just focusing on just your own.
Instead you serve (according to your menu) 7 Molson Coors and 6 Labatt products on draught. And the reason you do this is because both of those multinational brewers offer you cash incentives to offer their bland beers. So please don't claim you are doing the local brewery a favour by NOT purchasing their product.
Your menu does not even mention bottled beer, so I'm not sure what exotic treasures you are suggesting I missed...my guess...more of the same, but who knows, you don't even list them on your menu.
You do offer 7 Tall Cans, but only one of them is a beer.
So back to my original review, yes, you do offer bland beer choices....choices that are on your menu because you get a monetary incentives from the major brewers...kick-backs that the local micro brewery could not possibly afford to pay you.
Maybe rather than taking the time to respond negatively to reviews that you do not like, you would do better to listen to customers (and maybe even support local, by actually offering at least one product from your local independent brewer).
Finally, if you want a good review just because you were the only place open on a Monday, then you are setting the bar pretty low. But don't worry, because you set the bar where you did, you have absolutely cleared it...so good for...
Read moreFor a Friday night ànd 4 waitresses working with a total of 11 customers you would think you would get quicker service. Not the case. We waited be seated when we could have easily picked an empty table. Instead of seating us at an already cleaned table, we had to wait while our was cleaned off and wiped. Off she went to get menus... finally came back at least 10 minutes later with menus and asked what we wanted to drink.. Pop, water and a coffee. Another 15 minutes later she came back and said there was no cream, ok milk will do and off she went again... 10 minutes go by so I went up to the bar myself to get a shot glass of milk for the now cold coffee. She came back to take our food order and proclaimed "OH I forgot the milk for the coffee" after obviously seeing it on the table. We placed our food order and it arrived in a semi normal amount of time. I gotta suggest they NOT use frozen French fries. Spend the extra few bucks and use real potatoes PLEASE!! The pouting was tasty except the taste of frozen fries. Put some flavour on the chicken strip too. They have a great crunch to them but ZERO taste. Bathrooms were clean and interesting they had black toilets which I thought pretty cool decor. Tables in the back each have their own TV to watch the game on, also pretty neat feature. The smokers that stand directly beside the people eating outside on the other side of the fence should be addressed. The cigarette smoke drifts right into those people. When we finished eating she brought the bill pretty quick but again wandered off but we didn't take any chances of her not coming back for 10 minutes so we went to the bar to pay and left. Will we return? Probably not. Would we...
Read moreWe walked in for a beer and we're accused of smelling like liquor. We drove all the way from Buffalo only to hear that. We left. When I asked around town about this place everyone had the same response. I'll leave that up to your imagination. I'm adding to this review because it's the only way I can respond to this guys unbelievable response. Honestly, I'm stunned by his response but once again, we were warned about this place. We had dinner and drinks at Bobcaygeon Inn, Lindsay CC, the chicken wing place across the street, and a little place on the road near Egan ridge. No issues, no yeti cups, no whining, just good times and service. No I've been going to Bobcaygeon since 1971 and never had one issue at the Lock, the Doctor's office, the Inn, nowhere. Just reading this idiots response to my honest review is head shaking. It's really all he could do to save face. Blahahaha. Just read his lengthy desperate self serving response. No I don't live in Boston. No I haven't had a drink since 1997. Not really sure if your just a spoiled brat or delusional or maybe you just don't like Americans but stop the exaggerating and embellished comments about my family and friends. We are ages 67-73 not whatever it is that you think you saw. Clearly, you have issues. Figure that out and you might realize your responses to my honest review are to save face. What's amazing is to what lengths you will go to do that. Very very strange to say the least. PS Read the Paul Foster review of 1 star. You blocked him after he called you out as well. Wannabe casino barbacks...
