Gyros & Pizza Express — Restaurant in Kawartha Lakes

Went buy and picked up a Shawarma on a pita for 10$ and Greek fries for 9$

The Shawarma on a pita Comes with tomato, onion, garlic sauce and for 1$ extra, hot turkish peppers The size of the pita was filling and packed with ingredients The hot turkish peppers are very good because they pack a punch

The Greek fries Come with tomato, feta, oregano, tzatziki sauce is HUGE. I intially ate this and was too full to even have my whole shawarma on a pita in that one sitting the feta and tzakiki can be overwelming but if you split the greek fries and eat it with a pita, I can imagine it compliments well

Location wise, they are in prime location with restaurants around and parking on the street. There is maybe 3 tables to sit at, nothing fancy. They also have washrooms available and a N64 that you can play while you wait (nice touch retro touch). They also had two patio tables with umbrellas right in front of the restaurant for sitting and eating.

All in all, I would come back in to try out something else and split Greek fries with...

I absolutely loath giving a bad review, and there needs to be something special for it to happen, and this is one of those times. Going in, everything seemed fine. I made an order of Greek salad, pizza fries, gyro and donair. I asked them to make sure to include everything, as it is coming with tomato and onion. Neither gyro nor donair had any veggie in them, and the Greek salad had nothing in it either. They also RUINED both the donair and gyros by putting PIZZA SAUCE on them. PIZZA SAUCE. I don't get it, if it has an issue with just one order, I would get it, but to get ALL OF THEM wrong, that is no longer an accident. I was very polite with them, and I tipped them too, more than what I've seen other people tipping them with, so I really don't get it.

Save yourself the trouble, and go somewhere else, you will have a better time. Sorry, I really, REALLY wish this was a nice place, and I wish I could have given a nice review, but sadly this place is a huge disappointment

OK, how is this place not insanely busy. This is one of those niche places that has unbelievable quality and delicious food. It's a MUST try. The building looks unassuming from the outside, but the second we walked in, we were greeted with incredibly friendly staff (owners?) and the menu was much larger than we expected. Amazing quality/fresh ingredients, fries were extra crispy, healthy portions on everything...zero complaints. No question, our new favorite spot when we're in the area. Wish we were closer...
