This restaurant made me feel at home. It's a cozy little hole in the wall that we found when my boyfriend was hankering for fish and chips. Google reviews originally led us here! It's a seat yourself, everybody knows your name kind of atmosphere that made the dining experience so relaxed and comfortable. The all you can eat cod including chips and bottomless pop is $14.99- HOW DO YOU GO WRONG??? The fish is moist, flavorful and totally hits the spot. My boyfriend said the tartare sauce was on point as well! The deep fried pickles are awesome too! I probably wouldn't recommend the onion rings as they lack any flavour, but everything else including the service was top notch so they deserve 5 stars. Will definitely go back and recommend to others!

Best fish and chips I ever had here in Canada. My husband and I were looking for fish chips when we visited Kelowna after passing by Shady restaurant but read on the reviews which does not seem good lately and my husband recalled this name and saw the reviews so we went in. I ordered haddock and my husband ordered halibut. Both were very tasty, love their chips too and the chowder. We live in Vancouver so we will try the one at North Van. Tasty and good value.

Possible the smallest fish ever served up. I ordered the two-piece cod and chips. The 2 pieces were basically one piece cut in half and served wafer thin. I'm very disappointed. The lady also forgot to pack the tarter I ordered into the bag, which was another disappointment. Lastly, the Pepsi was taken from the fridge was warm. I understand the fridge needs to be refilled but still, I was disappointed again.

When we first walked into C-Lovers, my first impression was that it was very clean. Always a great start for a seafood place!

We sat ourselves, which was no problem. I did notice there were a lot of cameras in the establishment good for security and safety... and probably to make sure people don’t go overboard on the all-you-can-eat fish and chips. LOL.

One thing I really liked was that you could see right into the kitchen. It was visible right away, so I took a good look as I walked by. Everything looked clean, the squad back there seemed to be on top of things, and all the kitchen staff looked neat and professional. They were also very friendly, which is always a plus. The serving staff started off friendly and really seemed to be on the ball, which I appreciated.

We ordered the all-you-can-eat fish and chips, and that’s where things started to slow down. The refills on our drinks and food took quite a while, even though the place wasn’t packed—steady but not overly busy. Our server was spending a lot of time wrapping cutlery, which, hey, is important, but it seemed like refilling drinks and bringing out food should have been a bigger priority. Not a huge deal, but noticeable.

That being said, the food itself? Amazing. The fish was really good quality—our server mentioned it was Pollock It tasted fresh, was well-cooked, and didn’t leave me feeling heavy or sick after eating two big plates of it. The chips (aka fries) were delicious, and the tartar sauce was on point.

One small issue I noticed was that they seemed a bit hesitant when we asked for refills on food. Instead of bringing full portions, they’d offer just a couple more pieces of fish and no chips unless specifically requested. I get it—the less we eat, the better for their bottom line—but hey, when I come for all-you-can-eat, I expect to actually be able to eat all I can! For $19.99, though, it’s still a fantastic deal, so I can’t complain too much.

Overall, our experience was good. The restaurant was clean (even the bathrooms, which is always a good sign), the food was fresh and delicious, and most of the staff was generally friendly. The only downside was the service being a bit slow on refills, but that’s not enough to stop me from coming back. My wife, our toddler, and even our 7-month-old all enjoyed it, and I will definitely be a regular here.

Final rating? I’d say a solid 7/10. Would recommend, and I’ll be...

Do not order takeout from this restaurant. Details below.

Incredibly frustrating experience with this place. It pains me to write this review because the food is actually decent, I have no objections to that.

We're attempted to order takeout from this place several times, and we've run into countless issues:

Called in an order, they gave a time estimate, we showed up and they had no record of our order. Nothing was written down, nothing sent to the kitchen. Had to wait 30+ minutes for them to re-take the order and make it. No apology or compensation was offered.

Multiple (5+) occasions of order being prepared incorrectly. Entire meals (!!!) missing from the order, and we've had to go back several times in order to have them make the missing food.

To be absolutely clear, I wouldn't be writing this if it was just a one-off mistake, but there is some kind of systemic issue of disorganization with this establishment. I would estimate 90%+ of our orders to this place have had something material go wrong that has left us extremely frustrated and dissatisfied. Some serious overhaul of their system or additional staff training is sorely needed.

We've raised this issue with them multiple times, but they either don't care or are not adequately addressing the issue.

If you dine in, you probably won't have any issue. But if you order take out, you better be prepared to open every packet in front of them in the restaurant, because that's the only way you're going to guarantee they're not going to make some...

An AWESOME and laid back place! The food, service and atmosphere was great!

I usually hate fish and seafood, and my husband hates breaded chicken strips.

So, I ordered the chicken strips and hubby ordered the breaded cod! My hubby urged me to try a strip of cod as he said it tasted so fresh (and didn't have a powerful 'fishy' taste I don't like) and I urged him to have a chicken strip too!

We traded, tasted, and we both have become immediate fans of both their breaded chicken and cod!!!

Both dishes were incredibly fresh, made from scratch and breaded, to fried, and served quickly! None had the overly 'fishy' flavour (I despise), nor the overly PROCESSED chicken flavour (my hubby despises)!

Amazingly fresh food and well prepared! Our server, Colleen was amazing too - she was full of energy, connection, and jokes - great customer service and...
