Chan fortune restaurant — Restaurant in Kelowna

I have had Chinese food from Chan Fortune many times.. I find them a little more expensive than the others but always quality was fantastic.. We ordered the dinner for six last night and their takeouts are now half the size their food for dinner for six there was there was only five adults in my group there was very little food left over I do not believe it would have fed a sixth person.. I personally called and explained that I was very disappointed I am not somebody to take the time to call beforehand putting out there rating. The food was actually very tasteless I I was very disappointed and I think it's been about 3 years that I've been getting my food from them. Kelowna actually struggles with good Chinese restaurants. Kings kitchen is good but a little out of the way. I got a combo A. The chow mein was a bit bland to start but when i added salt pepper and the soy sauce pack they provided, it was pretty good and the cook on the noodles was nothing to complain about. They are obviously not using msg which is good. The beef broccoli was fresh tasting and well textured. The sweet and sour pork was pretty average. Not the best Chinese around but most certainly far from the worst in Kelowna. Their English isn’t the greatest. Just a small family Chinese food business trying to make a living in Canada. I would personally order from there again. Make sure you specifically ask for napkins and cutlery. All in all, pretty decent...

Ordered Beef Chop Suey, plain white rice, Boneless Chicken with Honey and Lemon Chicken. Half of our food was fresh, tasty except for the following:

1. there were only 15 small 2.5 - 3.0 cms. of Beef in the B. Chop Suey It was so thin they must have sliced it frozen? It was also almost all just Broccoli. The five carrot pieces were so thin you could not spear them with a fork. Did they use a Shredder?

2. the Lemon Chicken usually comes with a thickened Lemon sauce on the side. Today it was tasteless and had not been thickened...it was same consistency as water.
