Disappointing Experience at Bright Jenny Coffee
I've been a regular customer of Bright Jenny Coffee for months, but my recent experiences have left me thoroughly disappointed. It seems that the quality of service and consideration for customer experience have taken a nosedive.
Firstly, there's an ongoing issue with the washing machine, which has resulted in the coffee shop serving all beverages exclusively in to-go cups. While I understand that technical problems can arise, the fact that this issue has persisted for months is unacceptable. Paying $7 for a coffee, I expect the basic courtesy of enjoying it in a proper mug. It's disheartening to see the charm of sipping a premium coffee diluted by the inconvenience of a disposable cup.
Moreover, the additional charge of $1.25 for alternative milk options such as Oat, Almond, or Soy is downright exorbitant. In an era where environmental consciousness is paramount, one would think that a coffee shop would encourage sustainable choices. However, Bright Jenny Coffee seems more interested in profiting from eco-friendly decisions than valuing customers who are trying to make responsible choices for the planet.
Charging a premium for something that benefits the environment feels like a blatant attempt at exploitation. The pricing structure undermines the efforts of those who are trying to contribute positively to the planet. A business should encourage and reward such behavior rather than making it financially burdensome for customers who are making eco-conscious decisions.
In conclusion, I wouldn't recommend Bright Jenny Coffee due to the ongoing inconvenience of disposable cups and the questionable pricing strategy for alternative milk options. There are plenty of other coffee shops in the area that offer a more pleasant and eco-friendly experience for customers who value both quality coffee and environmental...

They gave me a full refund for our entire purchase. That is when you know a business cares about customer service :)
We went to Bright Jenny Coffee for the first time yesterday. We were on our way home and it was the last stop of our anniversary weekend and it was a horrible way to end it. Their coffee was good BUT we ordered 4 avocado toasts. They are $7 each and you only get one piece. In my opinion not cheap so I had high expectations that it would be delicious.
It took them 30 minutes to bring us our food (we were pretty much done our drinks by the time we got them). When we took a bite into the sourdough bread, it was ROCK hard. I am not exaggerating, I felt like I almost broke a tooth. You couldn't bite into it. My husband and I tore off the crust and tried to eat the middle, my jaw was sore after trying to eat one of them. The second one was even worse so I decided to bring it back to the kitchen (in my honest opinion we should have brought all four back but I felt bad). I told them to bring it to the kitchen and get them to touch it, you couldn't even break the bread in half because it was so hard. They decided to refund us for one of the toasts, but we still paid $40 for the whole meal.
We will never go back, it was very...
ย ย ย Read moreWe really enjoyed this coffee shop. We went out of our way to come here and we are glad we did, so many options to choose from. We ended up getting the shaken foam iced latte, from what I could tell what the do is make the latte like normal, and iced it then the shake it through filters with ice and it creates a bit of foam that is really cold. It was delicious and I canโt wait to return and try it again. Kinda wish I wasnโt so full from breakfast, it would have been nice to try one of the great looking baked goods. I love that there is more and more coffee roasters in BC now and itโs great to see them being supported by their communityโs. I really like the bathroom signs, โdoesnโt matter, just wash your handsโ lol so clever. Great displays here with a good selection of coffee makers and grinders, some what pricey but I think from what Iโve seen at other places they are priced the same as the others. Remember good food and good coffee takes time, be patient and wait. And as always Support Local Buy...
