We just had the worst experience ever at this place.. i wish there was an option to leave a comment without giving any stars. So here is a one star that you don’t deserve. My husband and i ordered 2 chicken biryanis to go and when we reached home, we realised we were given the wrong order and when we called them back and told them that the order we were given was the wrong one, we had the absolute displeasure of talking to one of the worst guy possible. He did not have the basic curtesy to acknowledge a customers complaint and was extremely rude. Over the phone he said he repeated the order back to us which he never did and I quote his exact words “ you can come here and we can take out the footage and do research if you want”. All that he did was nod when we said chicken biryani. He said we would have to come back and pay more for the error that he made and was laughing over the phone like it was a joke. Mr. whatever is your name, you should realise that you cannot capture your voice on your cctv. So your video is no proof that you repeated the order back to us and moreover why should we waste our time driving down there again and paying more for the mistake you made? We were regular customers who come there atleast once a week, which you have lost now. We also work in a customer facing role everyday, so we are not people who call and complain just for the sake of saving $2.00. Let this be a note to people who look at their reviews and PLEASE PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU MAKE THEM REPEAT YOUR ORDER BACK TO YOU LIKE...
Read moreI've been going to Dosa Crepe Cafe since I moved to Kelowna in 2016. It was and still is the only South Indian restaurant in the city. At the very beginning, the food was relatively good (for Kelowna), but in my opinion, its quality has progressively decreased in flavor and authenticity as they have tailored it for "white people".
Two days ago I went to Dosa Crepe with my partner like I usually do. We ordered two masala dosa, Tamil Nadu style. My partner told the waitress if she could make it "medium spicy" as otherwise they don't add any chillies or mirchi (red chilly powder). My partner said it should all come to around $16 for both, tax included. The bill came to $20 plus tax plus tip. He went up to the counter and asked why was it $4 extra. She said they charge extra to make it spicy. We were shocked! First of all, why would you charge extra for adding spicy powder? And most importantly why didn't she mention that in the first place? Because it's nowhere to be found on the menu! No apologies, no refund, no answer. Silence. Those poor customer service skills and communication certainly don't reflect well on the business. They should better train their waiters/waitresses and be upfront about prices instead of charging "hidden" fees that are also ridiculous. We sure won't be coming back for a while...
Read moreMenu is completely confusing, not satisfied with customer service, we went there first time on 2nd sept'2018 we saw menu the server was with us , we selected curry dosa $7.49, we pointed that item in front of server and we said spicy just like as usual we go to indian restaurant and order veg dish and we say spicy or medium. we did not know that if we spicy we have to $2 extra, even server did not tell us that $2 extra to make spicy. it's completely wrong, when i go to pay i argue that as well but they did not even care about customer. i thought that they will not charge $2 due to confusion. but i was wrong. $2 to make spicy is almost 30% of dosa price. I have never seen any indian restaurant or south indian restaurant which charge 30% cost of original cost to make spicy. I will never go there, I am from alberta and my friend from edmonton told me so i went there but extremely dissatisfied Even food was not spicy what they charged $2. SO PLEASE READ...
