Their prawns are a standout - succulent and flavorful, though a lemon slice would have elevated them further.

The Chicken Chow Mein is another winner - a must-try for any chow mein fan.

The fried rice is where they really shine, hitting all the right notes for a fried rice connoisseur.

They've got that Uncle Roger stamp of approval, likely using day-old rice which gives it an authentic flavor.

Plus, you can taste the 'wok hei,' and elevates the fried rice to an authentic flavor.

Now, why not a full five stars?

They slipped up on a few minor details.

No chopsticks or utensils were provided.

And just four packets of soy sauce for a large order?

That's just not enough.

And then there's the wonton soup - sadly, a letdown.

The broth was bland, reducing the veggies and wontons to mere fillers.

Maybe it was an off day for the soup, but it's a miss in an otherwise hit menu.

So, if you're craving some legit Chinese food, especially Uncle Roger-approved fried rice, Wok Inn is your place.

Having grown up in the Lower Mainland with easy access to a number of quality Chinese restaurants and having been raised on Chinese cuisine, I am a bit particular about Chinese food to say the least. Since yesterday was the first day of the Year of the Ox, I wanted to get some take out, so after going through a slew of google reviews, and with some trepidation, I settled on the Wok Inn. We ordered 6 different dishes ranging from Prawns with Garlic and Peppery Salt (spicy) to the ubiquitous House Special Chow Mein. I was pleasantly surprised at how authentic the Chinese flavour profile was in each dish. This is especially true for the spicy prawn dish where it can be difficult to nail the balance of spice and salt. Yes, the noodle dish did not use the "traditional" type of egg noodle, but the flavours were there. Would I go back and order from here again? Yes, I would, even despite the fact that the "front of the House" employee had clearly missed the 101 course on proper...

I Love wok inn especially in westbank. I was working out in black mountain and thought I'd grab a meal before getting home. I was definitly not pleased... chicken balls weren't cooked enough, sad amount of beef and veg.. not to mention the vegetables were turning and had a sour/bitter taste.. I've always spoke well and recommend westbank Wok Inn. Yet east kelowna off hwy 33 I wouldn't recommend to anyone. Wish I would have drove further out of my way to westbank for a better meal. Also no soy sauce, plum sauce or sticks thrown in the bag including very shaded service... even though I said thank you have a good day before I knew how awful my meal was going to be I never got a response. Just walked off back into the kitchen. Definitly won't support...
