Specialty Bakery — Restaurant in Kelowna

I have tried many things, as it’s close to home and I want it to be good. However, I am not super impressed. Everything is pretty generic. There are very few or no items that have whip cream and feel light and fresh. Everything is super sugary. It would be nice if they had a Paris Brest or a Napoleon, or even a whip filled chocolate long john. However it would still be way too sweet with the chocolate icing that is used. The prices are steep for basic stuff, it is cheaper and better at the grocery store nearby. The black forest donut is nothing like black forest cake, it’s dry and the flavour profile...

“Specialty bakery”…. Come on, there is nothing special going on. The roadside sign says “gourmet donuts”, the donuts and “kelownuts” are stale and so far from being gourmet, they may as well be from Timbuktu. Joke is on us I guess, fool us once, there won’t be a second chance.
