Baked goods are good but one staff member has a case of the grumpies. I went in for my birthday to get 1 specific doughnut. While I was in line a person called in and ordered well over 20 assorted doughnuts in different flavours. The type I wanted was mentioned on the phone and she placed all 5 left (of the specific type I wanted) in the box while I was ordering it. The other staff member asked if she could just take ONE of the type I wanted out of the box, just 1 considering the order was for numerous types. Her response was a stern no, not a “I’m sorry no” just a flat didn’t even look at me no, the friendly staff member offered I go to the other location and the other staff member smiled and said “No they are sold out at the other location too, that’s why they called”. So, all things considered having known it was my birthday I don’t expect special treatment, but I do expect a “I’m sorry” in front of a no, not a smug response like she was pleased I didn’t get it. I have left a 5 star review for the other location, but the attitude and lack of emotion from the one staff member has left me feeling like I won’t go to this...
Read moreI was desperately looking for a bakery in Kelowna that makes Coconut Cream Pies and/or Banana Cream Pies and couldn’t find anywhere in the city that made either, let alone both. I was recommended to contact Mary at the Finns Road location and was amazed when she said she would make happily make me BOTH the following morning and had them ready for exactly when I needed them. I certainly wasn’t expecting TWO pies made from scratch on such short notice and was so pleased when I saw them. They were true works of art and my dad was blown away by the taste and quality (he’s quite the pie connoisseur!), as I had them made for his birthday. I highly recommend this bakery for the exceptional quality and taste, the friendly and professional staff and for Mary’s expertise and all the love she (and fellow staff) put into those...
Read moreWent there today, July 4, 2023....we purchased two Kelownuts and two maple glazed donuts, total $13.85 for 4 donuts, expensive for donuts that were like days old! Kelownuts were small about half the size they use to be...but ok cause they are filled with cream, not alot of cream I might add. The Maple glaze donuts were NOT fresh, dry, crusty, and terrible, worst donuts we have ever had. The young gal who works there was definitely not friendly or helpful, it's kinda disappointing. We have purchased kelownuts before, about a year ago... they use to be good, large and full of cream.....they were always great...other items in this bakery leave a little to be desired. For a small bakery, you think the product would be fresh and delicious. Very dissapointed, they are not what they use to be....I suggest trying...
