TacoTime — Restaurant in Kelowna

We were in a HURRY and in Rutland. So obviously you think Mackers or the Red headed step child, but I suggested Taco Time! The biggest issue I have with Mackers these days is that a coffee in Rutland drive through takes 45 minutes, and feeding a family costs way more than you expect. The humans working at this Taco Time were very sweet and patient with me, they double checked my order to make sure it was right, there was a clean table easy to find and a nice patio if my kids weren't deadly scared of anything that moves outside. Lots of hot sauce available. The kicker was, for a sit down place with no drive through, its somewhere between fat food and sit down restaurant which was awesome, we made it out on time. We visited TacoTime in Kelowna around 9:15 PM and unfortunately had a pretty disappointing experience. While the place itself was nice enough, we found the staff were very stingy with toppings just basic things like cheese and salsa and when we asked for a little extra, we got charged quite a bit extra. In fact, we ended up paying $16 more just for those small toppings and our meal was only $20 before the extras. On top of that, the staff member we dealt with was quite rude about it, which really made the whole experience uncomfortable.

I think it’s important for others to know that they might encounter these extra charges and the kind of service we experienced. Hopefully, they can improve how they handle customer requests and be more upfront about their pricing but as of now I’d advise to absolutely skip this place and go...

I did my rate this branch last time for 5 star now I am gonna change it to 1. If there is 0, I will be doing it lol because the food was so good but the 2nd time I came back and First time to try taco Tuesday. The lady who served my brother didn’t say that chicken wasn’t included with the TACO TUESDAY which we didn’t know and then the lady who took my order was very helpful and told me everything about it. So we needed to revised my brother’s order but she told us next time to tell before the servers making them cuz they already made it. Which again i told her that we didn’t know. And she kept pointing the sigm that it says that which in the line where you wait, you can’t even see the sign which is stupid and non sense. She kept arguing and I’m not impressed. Not a good...
