Waitress repeatedly forgot our orders, some the moment after saying them! Then we get our salads, given to the wrong people and mixed up our drink orders as well. We get our meals, which are nothing to rave about it, my gyro was actually pretty gross containing just a pile of meat with a couple chunks of tomato and onion and some sad excuse for tzaziki. However, our waitress never came back once, not to check on us or ask if we needed anything, not a single drink refill or take out boxes. As very shy, polite people it took us almost 40 minutes before I was so angry that I had to get another waitress and tell her what was going on. After a little more confusion and waiting the owner and the original waitress came over, the owner gave my kids each a quarter and some cheap toy (my daughter isn't even 2 and will put a quarter in her mouth in a nanosecond) and proceeded to tell us that our waitress was drunk and forgot she had a table then walked away without as much as an apology!!!! Our now confirmed drunk waitress apparently still got to stay at work and serve us, AND CONTINUED TO RUIN OUR NIGHT! She allowed me to order something else off the menu after my mother in law informed her I didn't like my food (I was too embarrassed to say anything at this point) and took our dessert orders which we wouldn't have even stayed for had they not come with our meal. She got our dessert order wrong girl having not learned she needs a notepad at this point and when my take out meal wasn't ready after we had paid she told me it's because take out orders get pushed to the back and the kitchen got slammed (the place was pretty dead by the way) it would take a bit longer.... I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A PRIORITY ORDER BY NOW SINCE WE'VE BEEN DINING FOR THE BETTER PART OF 2 HOURS!!!! Don't waste your money here, even if the food is half decent, the owner clearly doesn't care and neither do the staff. I'm enraged that after all that we still had to pay $56. What happened to the service...
Read moreI have been going here since I was a little girl. On Saturday I was there with my sisters and noticed they recently renovated. When ordering our meals we asked for no straws as we try to be environmentally conscious. We still received a straw in one of our drinks. I was surprised that they had renovated but were still using straws in every glass. I asked to speak to a manager so I could mention my concern about the straws. Hoping they valued customer opinions and might take mine into consideration and simply mention it in a meeting or something. I was told there was no owner or manager there. So they sent over a server named Louie. When I voiced my concern about the straws his first reaction was 'how long have we been using straws?'. He was right away confrontational and argued with every thing I said. Then he says 'so you just wanted someone to yell at?'. I said I was not yelling or even trying to upset anyone but I just wanted to voice my opinion as a long time customer. He continued to argue with me about environmental impacts of Styrofoam and that they weren't going to remove straws because they saw one picture of one turtle that was injured.i was yelling and I was crying by the time I left the restaurant. He caused such a scene by escalating the situation when all I wanted was to be a concerned customer with my opinion heard. . I am shocked and upset about the ignorance of customer service at this restaurant. Whether or not they agree about straws, I don't care. But that is not how you treat a paying concerned customer. I called today to speak to the owner and he didn't even let me get one word in. He told me it was my fault because I complained about straws and that talking to me was a waste of his time. I've decided the same thing about his restaurant. So sad but the level of disrespectfulness actually makes me...
Read moreBeen going to Country Boy for YEARS, and was always quite happy with the experience, the service and the quality/portions for price. I don't know what's changed recently, but our most recent visit might well be our last.
My wife and I went in for breakfast a few weeks ago, where we both ordered tea with our meals (she had some sort of skillet, i had i think the eggs benny w peameal and a side of bacon. maybe it was the hungry boy without the pancakes. Anyway...) The server brought us one teapot with one teabag, but charged us each $3.50. When I questioned this on receiving the bill, she said that was the policy, and didn't seem at all interested in explaining it or trying to justify it. I suppose I should've asked for the manager at that point, but we were quite taken aback. Never mind that $3.50 for tea in a family diner is already on the somewhat outrageous side, but charging $7.00 for two diners to share one teapot and a single teabag is highway friggin' robbery. Between the disgusting price gouge and the poor attitude of the server when we asked about it, it left a very bad taste in our mouths.
We have no problem paying slightly increased prices over time due to food supply chain cost increases, but for some 15yr old to drop that kind of attitude on two people paying $50+ for breakfast (after tax and tip)? That ain't right.
Country Boy, I stood up for you when that one weirdo went off about walking out on his bill because of the change in breakfast potatoes a while back. That dude was completely out of line. Y'all are the ones out...
