Started to love fresh burrito, cause everytime i went in there is always min.2 servers standby, the one who served me happened to be the same guy (shorter guy) and he did an excellent job by remembering what I used to order and how I like my buritto to be spicy. But after reading previous reviews, I believe the staff who claim to be the manager and argued with the customer must be the taller and skinny guy cause I notice that he is unfriendly and always rude to the customers. It's totally absurd that you have to drag your kids to DINE IN in order to get kids meal or even have to accompanied by "Adult" meal. I totally feel the frustration, cause as an asian that has only been moving here for not even a year I always find that the "Adult" meal here is huge and way too much for me so sometimes I will just went in to order kids meal and it works fine everywhr else in Canada & US. It doesnt mean that we are a "cheap" person, If you have seen the poverty in third world country, then you will understand how much I hate people when they wasted their food. If this is your so called "company policy" (by doing whatever to bring in more money into your pocket and forcing people with small appetite to take the huge meal and wasted it), YOU HAVE TOTALLY...
Read moreThe burritos and tacos taste great. But depending on the staff they might be more stingy when it comes to guacamole and cheese - even though you pay extra for it anyways! 25 cents worth of cheese per taco and I barely got a sprinkle this time, whereas they try to stretch the same scoop of guacamole across 3 tacos!
update: July 26, 2020
two steps forward, two steps back. been back a few times post COVID nd it seems like the stinginess has been fixed the past few times visiting. The problems I ran into the last few times: 1. ran out of mild salsa..how do you run out of mild salsa at a burrito place 1 hour into service? 2. flavours the last few times have been progressively poor, 3. chicken used to be our favourite, but poor quality control; more chewy tendon bits present rather than meat, 4. one of the staff keeps on adjusting facemask with hand, then answering phone order, then wearing facemask to expose nose, then going straight to food preparation. seriously, stop touching your mask while working in the food industry! if you do, I expect handwashing in between and fresh pair of food prep gloves. i will need to take a break from...
Read more“Should a burrito fall apart” RATING
A friend of mine who's a chef at a Waterloo Local restaurant, had mentioned to me that burritos should never fall apart. Since then, I have found that many restaurants (especially those who call them burrito restaurants) often create burritos that are not wrapped probably
My third Challenger, Fresh Burrito, is located at 652 Fairway Rd, also close to Fairview Mall
Passed Rating: •Burrito Boyz (Wilson Ave) 4 out 5 •Bar Burrito (Fairway Rd) 3.5 out of 5
Unfortunately, I will give you guys 1 out of 5. The lady that made my burrito made it soggy. She mixed my food around, trying to mix the sauce blend. However, my wrap just couldn't handle this wrap overload.
When touching my wrap, it was clear this thing was going to fall apart. The first picture is when I unwrapped the burrito. The second picture was when I took a bite, you can see the guts leaking out. And the third, it was a result. This burrito couldn't handle the wrapping. Skip the Dishes & Ubers, you should request a fork with these guys!
Sorry guys, you need to improve your...
