We wanted to treat ourselves for our last vacation night and came to this place. Nice patio and ambiance. I will start by saying that drinks and desserts were good, but service was slow (took 1h45 minutes for main and desserts only, we were a family of 4), and the food was very bland and portions were tiny. The children menu was 2 tiny pieces of pizza and half the plate was mixed greens. Ok for my 4yo but my 6yo was not satisfied at all. For $15 that was the worst children menu we've ever seen. Didn't include kid drinks either. We tried the lentil dip which didn't taste like much and was covered in mixed greens. The sausages wrapped in bacon were served on a huge bed of mixed greens and were good but tiny. The potato salad with coppa - well, the salad was bland and there was a tiny slice of coppa at the bottom. My tofu sandwich combo was ok but nothing special, the soup was good, probably the best value at that restaurant. We're ok with small portions when the food is exceptional, it was sadly not the case here. We ended up paying $200 to eat mostly store bought mixed greens and mediocre food, my husband and daughter left hungry. A very disappointing last...
Read moreTruly disappointed in this experience. We decided to go given the fact that it is the sister restaurant of “Chez Truchon” which we adore, as well as the fact that it was rated so well. We were met with horrible tapas that you’d find at a dive bar. I truly don’t understand the fabulous rating on this restaurant. The chicken skewers are tiny and come in the same sauce as this fish acras. The speck pizza left much to be desired and was the size of a small appetizer dish. The cocktail sausages were essentially Lafleur hot dogs wrapped in bacon. For that price - laughable. We’ve had tapas before, this was truly not worth the prices you pay. I would recommend Chez Truchon stops affiliating with this restaurant as it ruins their name and reputation. Great place for drinks for but I would say it ends there . If you are a cocktail bar, perhaps you should advertise...
Read moreWas in la malabie for 1 night. Searched for restaurants and ended up hitting this one. And it turned out to be really nice. The food is great. Portions size might be small, but evey bite is a treat to eat. Few highlights: Have decent vegetarian options. The atmosphere is very welcoming Staff is super nice. We didnt know french at all and were curious if we would be able to explain what we needed. Surprisingly, all the staff were bilingual. Not very common to find in quebec. And its not a restaurant. Its something else in decor. What it is, is something worth going and experiencing it...
