For Canadian Western style Chinese food it was pretty good by that standard. However, skip if you are looking for authentic Chinese cuisine. Going here I knew what to expect and for Western style Chinese food it was good. I was looking forward to the buffet but not sure if they no longer offer it. My wife ordered the wonton noodle soup for $16.95 and I ordered a combination plate for $18.95. My mother in law ordered black bean fried noodles for $18.95. My wife enjoyed her wonton noodle soup and said it was a nice surprise. My mother in law didn't like her black bean fried noodles as it was overly salty. Fortunately they were very nice in taking it back and not changing us. As for my combined plate it was good and I finished it all. The service was excellent and our server was very helpful in resolving the issue with my mother in law order. I don't blame the restaurant as black bean sauce is already salty itself, so not sure what my mother in law was expecting from her dish lol. Luckily they were nice about it.

Prior to Covid, we used to dine in and enjoyed the buffet. Had no issues with the service or food. After Covid, we got used to ordering takeout, I have ordered a variety of dishes on the menu and still had no issues with the service and food. I ordered the Wor wonton w/meat and vegetables, Pork Fried Rice, Chicken Chow Mein, Beef and Broccoli. The soup is enough for two people as a main meal or for four people in smaller portions. The meat selection in the soup consisted of beef, bbq pork, chicken and shrimp. The three other dishes are enough for four people. Food has always been tasty, flavoursome and when our takeout order got messed up once they rectified it.

I was on the Island visiting family and this is where we met for dinner. My family members eat here often and I can see why! Buffet was well stocked with lots of options. The waitress was super friendly and kept the teapot and water glasses full. Plates are small but I found that welcome so I could sample a bunch of different things several times and not get bogged down with one huge plate. The place is easy to find as it’s right on the highway and across from a beautiful park.

Oh man where do I begin?!?! I ordered 2 pops and when the waitress came back to the table she gave them to my in-laws who also ordered the pops. I then mentioned I ordered 2 pops also and the waitress came back with 5 waters. I was beyond annoyed at this point as she ignored me on 2 separate occasions . So I told her not to worry about the drinks. Next I ordered 2 spring rolls, deep fried Wontons and BBQ Pork. The Pork was actually very tasty! (So silver lining). But I did not receive my spring rolls and the Wontons were not Wontons but just the flaky batter folded to look like Wontons. Got an Egg roll instead of spring rolls which was not eatable. Our Fried Rice had a burnt taste to it also, after getting 2 seperate orders and waiting almost 30 minutes we just called it and decided to get our cheque. It was a disaster!! To make matters worse the waitress spilled sweet and sour sauce all over my son’s arm and legs….luckily it was not hot but didn’t offer to give us napkins or to clean it off, I had to ask and even though I had asked she still didn’t give us any napkins. To top the whole experience off we received our Spring rolls 45 minutes after we had originally ordered it, and I am willing to give a bit of grace due to a busy kitchen……but we were the only table seated at the time!!!!!! BEYOND FRUSTRATED! and will not be going...

Tried to get a $150 plus order delivered. Called to check on order when it was half an hour late (already 90 minutes into it at this point) and was told it was ready to go but they were waiting for the driver to return. When I tried to ask if they could please make sure it was kept hot, the woman rudely interrupted me, stated it would get there when it got there and hung up on me. Ordered from someone else but was courteous enough to call back and cancel the order from Dragon City. Then received a call from someone else who informed me the order wasn't even started yet ..... so the first rude individual was, I guess, being cya. Second lady was quite pleasant/professional and I think perhaps the bad behaviour is hopefully a one-off. I know businesses can have staffing issues and sometimes are forced to take the dregs but really, if an order is not ready to go after 2 hours plus and the service is rude, why would I ever want to risk a repeat? May try them again someday but probably not soon. The other restaurant was great to deal with, food was delicious, hot, fresh - they will be first call...

For our Mothers Day Meal the order was: 2 egg rolls, chow main, 1/2 order of bbq duck, deep fried won tons with sweet and sour sauce. This is by far the worst dining disappointment in my life. The deep fried won tons were nothing more than deep fried wonton wrappers. I was mortified. I phoned the restaurant to ask what happened as I had ordered fried won tons. The young lady politely explained that that’s how they make them now and without hesitation, refunded my money. Restaurant redeemed or one may have thought. The bbq duck was so dry that you couldn’t tell the difference between the leg meat and the tiny little bone that rests against the larger leg bone. So for safety sake, the legs were garbage. So, to the breast meat, yum. Not yum! My sight is bad. Imagine one’s surprise at pulling out of one’s mouth a soya sauce flavoured, knotted butcher string. Yuck! The egg rolls were double deep fried, thus served with extra oil. The chow mein was flavourless and by no means remarkable. On a positive note, the staff was polite, accommodating,...
