I found it funny that a place called 'Chopsticks' did not serve their food with that implement. I did not find it funny that they forgot my meal, despite the waitress physically writing down orders. Because the food of my friends was served to us with increments of 2-3 minutes between each plate arriving it was near the middle of the meal when my friends (who are fast eaters) were nearly done and the waitress came to ask how everything was that we were able to ask where my food was. Through the furtive consultation with a notebook that ensued it was discovered that the order had been lost. She asked me what it was, but myself, without a menu in front of me and not familiar with Chinese food had to guess. When it was brought out I'm pretty sure that the piles of garlic were not part of 'sweet BBQ pork' so they got the order wrong the second time. When it came time for the bill, instead of getting it separate as we had asked for, she asked if she could simply split the bill in four, which, though I may have been wrong in her intentions, felt like it was motivated by a desire to not try to figure out who ordered what. Considering I had specifically ordered a cheap meal, and that one of my friends had ordered two for leftovers, I was not impressed. All in all the service was not good, though I will say that the beef dishes that my friends ordered were tasty. I will...
Read moreWouldn’t even give it one star. Went there with my client who has autism. He’s nonverbal and communicates with a board with words on it. He vocalizes a little bit when he’s excited. Wouldn’t hurt a fly. We walked in and he likes to walk around the restaurant to get used to the environment and he loves reading signs. He walked slightly near one of the waitresses and she yelped and ran behind the counter like he was someone to be afraid of when he wasn’t even touching her. She obviously doesn’t know much about people with autism so I hope this review pushes education amounst staff. Staff need to be educated on persons with diverse abilities and neurological differences. They proceeded to rudely stare at him whilst we left the restaurant even after I told them he has autism. Told them to get the owner on the phone so hopefully we can provide a greater level of understanding for staff. I wasn’t about to pay a cent there so we left before ordering anything.
I love how the owner won’t comment on this review. Just shows how little he cares about what my friend had to experience
This happened in 2018. They attempted to delete my review but re posting bc when presented with an opportunity to solve this problem between us...
Read moreI ordered from this place tonight and was so disappointed. I ordered dinner for 2 and substituted the sweet and sour pork portion with almond chicken. I was charged $2 more for my substitution and I was ok with that. I also ordered a small wor wonton soup($11.95). When I checked my food after it had arrived I noticed that they charged and gave me a large soup(18.95). I was substituted the wrong item. I was given sweet and sour pork and almond chicken and didn’t received my beef chop suey. They also put fried rice noodles underneath my almond chicken to make the container seem “full” but it was about half filled without the puffed rice noodles. The soup was so bland, the broth tasted of almost nothing. Not even like ingredients and paid nearly $20 for it. I can’t believe I paid over $66 + tip for my meal. This entire meal was shamelessly overpriced, especially since they didn’t even fill a container of food I paid extra for to have substituted. I will never be ordering from from this...
