My husband and I were previously in the service industry for many years and we have noticed a drastic decline in both the quality of food and hospitality in a restaurant setting.
We have a small child at home so going out for a meal is difficult and we occasionally order takeout. We will not be ordering from this establishment in the future. Not only was the food subpar (being generous) it was wildly overpriced and my daughter’s meal was completely uneatable. The container her applesauce came in had a large crack in it so everything in bag was covered in a sticky mess. The pasta we ordered for her was wildly overcooked and had an obscene amount of sauce on it, turning it into a mushy soup. The salmon salad we ordered should have come with dressing but was not in the bag and everything was cold.
When my husband went to pick up our order he noticed that there was a single person working the entire front of house which is very strange given it’s a Saturday afternoon on a long weekend. A single person cannot run an entire restaurant successfully, no wonder our food was bad. If there is one person up front it goes without saying that the back of house is wildly understaffed.

Tried to call the restaurant and the call wouldn’t go through because of voicemail being full. I walked into the restaurant and was greeted unprofessionally by the hostess. She even rolled her eyes at me! When I told her that my credit card had been charged, she said my order did not go through. Then just stood there and didn’t offer a refund or to get a manager. I then had to wait for a manager to arrive to the restaurant. I was told by the manager that they don’t even know if they got my money or not. Also told to report it through my bank as fraud if I want it faster. They took my name and number. The manager claims that they will refund me in three days but didn’t guarantee that. He said he didn’t want to give me cash since the restaurant would be losing money. He didn’t even ask me for my credit card number. I guess it’s okay for them to just your money! But then the manager also tried to give me his personal number if I don’t get the money back in three days. They scammed me. Read moreGot there just before 8pm on a Friday - it was empty in there. Table for 2, sat dining side. Waited 30 minutes before a server came to our table. Across the restaurant, a table of 6 walked in and was served within 5 minutes. By the time the large table had their 2nd round of drinks, someone who looked like a manager came over to our table. She didn’t apologize for the wait, just said “thanks for your patience, what can I get you” so we ordered 1 drink each - that took 10+ minutes to get to our table. She didn’t come back TL take our food order for about another 15 minutes. We each ordered ONLY bandera bread - I’m sure this doesn’t take long to cook. It took 30 minutes for our food. Asked for a to-go box, that took about 5-10 minutes. Asked for our bill & a debit machine. We waited 25 minutes for the “manager” to come back so we can pay. The restaurant was EMPTY. Terrible service, especially if it was coming from a manager. Ended up going to pay at the front hostess desk. I’ll spend my money elsewhere next time. By the time it was all said & done, it took 2 hours for 2 drinks & 2 apps. AWFUL. Will be telling my friends/family about this lame excuse...
