One of our favorite restaurants! The beef tekka is amazing! As is the mixed grill which is honestly what we almost always order. We order out from here at least a couple times a month, and have done so for years. We also eat in sometimes, the atmosphere is lovely. I came here to update my review, because as the food is still fantastic, we have noticed that portions have gotten much smaller. When ordering the mixed grill you used to get kibi halab and a potato chip, along with apportion of their pickled cabbage/veggies, and a garnish if grilled onions, tomato and pepper. It was absolutely phenomenal. Over the years they stopped including the kibi and potato chip, which I missed but understand that the price to run a business has gone up, then they stopped serving the pickled vegetables... We have always, and I mean since they have been open requested extra garlic sauce in place of the grilled vegetable garnish, as we don't care for grilled vegetables, but love the garlic sauce.... Now apparently they no longer have grilled veggies on this dish either. Now like I said the food is still phenomenal... But today when I asked for extra garlic sauce in place of the grilled veggies the server said that they no longer do the grilled veggies and I clarified that I meant the grilled peppers, she proceeded to tell me that she didn't think that they could do that as this was a garnish and I was asking for more garlic sauce. (side note: the size of this is now less than half of what it used to be as well and 1 is not large enough for the dish now and this is using it sparingly!) I explained that they have always done this substitution for me without any issue, unrealistically I don't mind paying for the extra garlic sauce I suppose... The server then with a rather snarky tone states, "who are they". Now I have never experienced anything but professional and very accommodating service at this restaurant until this time. But as I say this is not the only change that I have noticed... And it's a big notice for us because we will order from there very frequently....

Ordered a mixed platter That came with some soups. We were given complementary spicy potatoes. And some Iraqi fried potato ball things stuffed with meat.
To start with the mixed platter. The rice given was not good at all, due to the fact that they incorporated soggy fries within the rice… I don’t know if they belong in there, however just the way looked threw me off… The tawook chicken was fine, tender and juicy. The beef Shawarma on some bites, not all, had an insane gamee flavour that left a bitter taste in my mouth. The fried chicken was good, although ours were overcooked. 3.3/5 on that platter
The appetizer plate. The humus was not the greatest ive had. 3/5 on those.
Tabouli flavor was good. However, their ratio of parsley to tomato was very off. There was too much parsley compared to tomato, at least in my Lebanese opinion. Babaghanoush was excellen, smokey and creamy. As well as the fattoush, it was also excellent and done right. I’d like to add that the appetizer plate has too much going on for the size of it. Once a few people start eating, they start mixing with each-other. As you can see in the picture, they are all basically on top of one another.
Both soups are fine can’t complain. It was a lentil soup as well as a chicken soup. The chicken soup reminded me of cream of broccoli. But we’re both good nonetheless.
The fried kibbeh, stuffed with meat balls, although these were relatively good, they had so much oil in them. It was basically oil sponges. I actually had to squeeze them between napkins before eating, to get as much oil out of them as i can.
Our server hashem was excellent fast and friendly.
Overall 3.2/5 would...
Read moreFresh food. You don't have to be a foodie to want fresh flavorful food. And this restaurant provides that and more. Jacinta (Jess for short) was friendly, informative and accommodating. Straight away we had food on the table. They start you off with some homemade curried pickles and pita while you look over the menu. We started with hummus (flavoured chick pea dip) and baba ganooj (flavoured eggplant dip) with pitas. Both were homemade and fresh. Also ordered some kibi and potato chop both are fried bundles filled with ground beef with their own spin. We could imagine a bottle of wine (yes they are licensed) and nibbling on these. Maybe next time. You can order as a meal, a half order or a dinner. The half order and dinner come with tomato, onion, pickle condiment (salad-like), rice (basmati with raisins) and soup as well. And the soup? Lentil soup, again homemade and delicious. Ordered beef shawarma sandwich which was much larger than expected for the price. And some kabobs one chicken skewer one beef skewer. We took alot home and will gladly have the meal again. The atmosphere is what you want to make it. Comfortable and causal or a more intimate dinner. I didn't think to take any pictures of our food. The ones posted seem accurate and might not even do enough justice. There were so many things on the menu to try. Jess was describing a lamb dish (roasted leg) with a white bean stew. Yum. Overall the experience will have us coming back when we are in the area. Btw there are...
