Ben & Florentine - Saint-Martin — Restaurant in Laval (administrative region)

I have a lengthy review to put on this restaurant. I come here pretty often to this restaurant because we actually like the food but the service is disgusting 🤮 today was the last straw, sadly, I will never be returning to this restaurant. For starters, all the servers hate English speaking people. And although I am perfectly bilingual, I prefer speaking and conversating in English. The servers can't even understand or even bother to understand "non runny eggs" but that's besides the point. We continuously always keep finding hairs in our plates. And we do voice our opinion on the hair because it's completely nasty finding hairs in your plate as a customer. After we finished eating and it was time to get our bill, my husband voiced his opinion of the hair in our plate and Kelly, our server, had the audacity to tell us that we always say there is hairs in our plate everytime we come here... As if I deliberately pull out my own hair and purposely put it in my plate. I've never been told that in my entire life. I just have a very particular eye when it comes to finding little tiny hairs in my plate of food. Dont worry I HATE FINDING THEM THAT EASILY TOO. On another note, my husband also saw one of the cooks come out the bathroom and not wash their hands and directly go back in the kitchen afterwards 🤮 all this to say WE ARE NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT. I was a regular at this location for a while now, love the serving & greeting staff and know them by name. few weeks ago, i was there on a weekend which is the usual and ordered my usual waffle with nutella instead of english cream, the new waitress came back to advice me that I will be charged $1.50 for the change. I was taken by surprise as they never told me that nor was I charged (it's the principle not how much). I asked to speak to the manager (I believe his name is Michael), who was rude and arrogant. Michael pretended not to recognize me as he served around our section several times (its funny for a manager not to be perceptive eah) then he went on to saying oh the girl that served you and didn't charge is no longer here WOW, really!!! He was dismissive, lacked customer service etiquette and empathy, my mistake was that I should've walked out with the order hanging on his head, but I am respectful of the rest of the staff that had to prepare & serve me my breakfast. I never went back and will not. I wonder how people like him get promoted while the others if you ask me more qualified with their level of...

Worst service ever. The lady server couldn’t give us water, she rushed us and completely didn’t care about our time there. She didn’t even bring us water… unbelievable. Rude as hell. She warned us at 2:55 that they’re closing soon in a rude tone and that she had to clean up.. even though we were the only clients in there!!! She made me and my friend feel rushed and we hated our time there. We were still eating and she made us feel bad and guilt tripped us…. At any other breakfast place I’ve been to I’ve never had someone be that rigid and rude, they let customers stay 5-10 minutes past closed to eat and gather themselves not warn them and hover over them.
