My first and last time at this venue. We live in the West Island so have no choice but to drive in. We left at 4:45 from St.Lazare and got to Place Bell at 7:45.😫 Traffic blocked from beyond the autoroute exit with the usual a-holes cutting in (too cool for lining up like the rest of us mortals), gridlock at intersections and serious stress about not being able to get to our seats before the show started. The tickets clearly said to get there before 7:30 or doors close.
At least for the Bell Center shows, you can pre-purchase your indoor parking and it’s right at the venue. Here, after going through the ridiculous traffic jam, we had the further challenge of trying to figure out where to park. Luckily for us, we have a legitimate handicapped permit for two of the four in the car so we were able to beg the young attendant to let us into the underground garage. Honestly don’t know what else we could have done as two of our party of four could not walk more than a few steps.
Once we parked—having been in the car long enough to travel to Quebec City—we were faced with more endless lining up to get through ticket checks. We arrived after the opening act had already started and found our seats in the dark, but at least we didn’t get shut out or miss our main attraction. (Ricky Gervais).
NOTE TO OTHERS: take good note of your exact parking location as we were so worried about being late we all rushed inside and had a real problem finding our floor afterwards. We weren’t the only ones either, we met many couples also lost and frustrated trying to find their car.
We paid our parking ticket ($30) before leaving the amphitheatre area, only to realize there was no need to pay, apparently: no gates or attendants checking leaving cars. Just another pile up trying to leave this godforsaken, ill-designed, awful venue.
I would choose the Bell Centre downtown any day for any show, even from the West Island, and only hope no performer I love books Place Bell in Laval because it will break my heart to pass it up, but I cannot and will not go through this chaos again. Since this venue is relatively recent, what were the designers and road planners thinking?...
Read moreIf I could give these people a negative star I would . I was there last Sunday for a concert , Don Omar was signing there . I bought my tickets last year , I got floor tickets I was having a great time until the security guy named Simon was absolutely disgusting behaviour , it all happened at the end of the concert we walked closer to stage to take our last photos and videos , this guy came so aggressively on me a 5.5 ft girl and started yelling to go back to my seat …. I asked him to stepped back as he was right in my face , since it was the end we were on our way out as I turned my back tell me why this SIMON touch me ?? He laid his hands on my back I turned and there he was yelling again and telling me I had to pay to be there I PAID TO BE THERE I PAID FLOOR TICKETS not only he laid his hands in my back and pushed me but he grabbed me . Why was he so aggressive ? my brother had to asked him to let me go and Simon did not behave appropriate he touched me , he should not touch me … Im a 5.5 he is so much taller than me , what was this behaviour about ? Him screaming one inch from my face i had to pay , he never bother to ask for my proof of payments . I got floor tickets last year. i was very scared for my life . His colleague Camille had to intervene and asked him to leave me alone . Perhaps Simon should not accuse someone of not paying without even asking for proof of payment which I had … No need to aggressively yell one inch from my face , TOUCH me pushed me and continue to harass me I made a report with his ALBAN MANGOTE he was supposed to get tin touch with me within the next few days . Never heard from him . He got our information we never heard from Place bell . I’m assuming they don’t care and that’s how the conduct and treat there clients i will leave proof of my seat so you guys can see i indeed paid . i shouldn't of been treated so poorly and attacked when i paid so much money to be on the floor This Happened March 17 2024 at 10:25 pm . Very Disgusting Behaviour from Simon and Very disgusting experience...
