Donât Waste Your Time Here
I highly suggest the management reassess their staffing and scheduling practices. I took my grandmother to try this place for lunch yesterday, something she had been excited about for a while. We arrived at 12 PM, were seated five minutes later, and found only one other table occupiedâa group of 12 who had already ordered. Despite this, our service was incredibly slow.
I asked the waitress for a glass of water for my grandmother as soon as we sat down. Unfortunately, no one returned for 30 minutes. When the server finally took our order, I asked again for the water. Another 15 minutes passed with no water or food. We ordered an appetizer, a side of fries, and a cheddar-bacon burger. Eventually, I flagged the waitress down while she was refilling the large tableâs water glasses. We finally got our first and only glasses of water.
We sat for nearly an hour and a halfâuntil 1:40 PMâwhen our food was finally brought to the table. By this time, half of the large table had been served, and the other half was still waiting. I asked for a water refill, but it was never done.
As for the food, it was cold. The burger wasnât just warmâit was downright cold, as if it had been sitting in the fridge after it was prepared. The fries were equally cold, and the appetizer chicken strips were only lukewarm. The meal was essentially inedible.
After trying to eat what we could for about 10 minutes, we decided to cut our losses. My grandmother had a headache from the loud music and was parched, so we decided to leave. We waited about five minutes for staff to appear but eventually I went looking for someone. I checked the bar (empty), the bathroom (also empty), and then walked to the kitchen door, where the entire staff was gathered chatting and laughing. I politely asked for the check, and the waitress rolled her eyes, printed the bill, and handed it over.
When I paid, I told her the food was cold and that they needed more staff. She finally apologized, saying she was âoverwhelmedâ by the large table. However, it was hard to understand how a group of 12 could be so difficult to serve when most of them still hadnât gotten their food when we left.
This was an awful experience, and I will not...
Read moreI don't usually leave poor reviews but this was the worst experience I've had by far at B&B. We made reservations on Friday for 6h30 and arrived 5 minutes early. They had already given our table away to another group so we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. There was a hockey game at Place Bell that night so it was a little busy at first but it died down soon after we got there since the game was starting and most people left for the game. Then we waited a long time before getting our orders taken. It turns out that this location has a reduced menu and doesn't have everything that the other places do. It took about 15minutes before we got our drinks and even longer for the food. They just dropped our plates on the table and we had to ask them to bring us utensils, napkins and water. So again we had to wait while staring at our food for that. The portions were a lot smaller than what other locations give. The poutine hardly filled the bowl. When we were almost done, the waitress asked us if we wanted to order shots and told us they were 4$ each that night. We waited another 10minutes for shots. When we eventually got the bill, turns out the shots were 7$. While I was paying, I didn't notice that the waitress had made a mistake on my bill and had swapped my meal with my friend's bill. She refunded my card and fixed the mess up. I looked at my card transaction that have processed now, when she did the refund, she didn't refund me the tip I left. So I essentially tipped her twice. (I should not have tipped in the first place but I tip out of habit)
This place is a huge disappointment. Avoid this place unless you want to be ripped off and get...
Read moreLetâs set the stage, my 50th birthday dinner, followed by a concert at Place Bell. First of all my wife and I are not young. I absolutely love being treated by the door person like Iâm lower form of life. This person, even in a busy environment could be nice rather than condescending and rude. We hear numbers like at some point people past a certain number may not be in time for the show. We are well ahead of that cut off. The problem is that we waited well over a half hour for burgers, like 40 plus mins. This only happened after I started making a big deal out of it. They did apologize, but when the food came, my wifeâs burger was raw and it had onions. Which she is allergic to and had asked be removed when we ordered. In the end no time to eat, they did pay for the drinks thought and obviously didnât charge us for the food. Beware of any reviews of a place that has so few reviewsâŠ....
