Madisons Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Laval (administrative region)

This was our first time visiting this restaurant for a Saturday dinner at 5:30pm.

Reservations are easy to make and recommended as the dining room fills up quickly for dinner. You can make reservations online for parties of 5 or less but you need to call the restaurant directly for parties of 6 or more.

Their online menu is mobile friendly and very easy to navigate and read; same applies to their in house menu. The restaurant is licensed to serve alcohol.

There is plenty of free parking in the adjacent parking lot.

Our server was absolutely perfect; friendly, social, professional and gave great service.

The interior of the restaurant was clean and well maintained. The chair's seating is padded and very comfortable. I was surprised to see a lot of children in the restaurant, which increased the noise level.

They currently have a nice selection of summer cocktails with the strawberry lychee mojito being a big hit.

Caesar Salad - the starter salad is a very decent portion and more then enough for 2 prople to share. The dressing was tasty but we found the croutons bland (not a big fan of croutons to begin with) and the bacon was a strip served on the top of the salad. It is a different way to serve it but we prefer a more traditional approach by having the bacon chopped up and mixed in as it helps increase the flavour of the salad.

Fried squid - perfectly cooked and seasoned! Definitely not over cooked like so many other restaurants do.

Pork ribs - so moist, perfectly cooked and the bbq sauce was delicious. You dont need a knife and can easily pull them apart or use a fork to split. The coleslaw was well seasoned and tasty. You get a huge pile of fries and they are crispy and delicious.

Whole Ribs and Chicken Tender Combo - the ribs are described as above but the chicken tenders are quite good. Nice, thick pieces of chicken. They were tender and lightly coated so they are nice and crispy yet still moist. The only thing to change is they need to be seasoned as they are quite bland. Season the chicken and the coating.

Cheeseburger Madisons - well cooked and seasoned and a nice big portion.

Filet mignon - 7 oz, was perfectly cooked and seasoned.

Chicken and avocado salad - This is a large bowl and will definitely satisfy your taste buds and hunger. The chicken was beautifully cooked and moist. These also lacked seasoning. The mixed seasonal greens, topped with avocados, hearts of palm, artichokes and grilled peppers all worked well together and complemented each other. The dressing was a perfect pair with a nice, zesty tang.

We were too full for dessert however a few of us did enjoy a nice cappucino. They also have decaf cappuccino which is great for those who can't do late day caffeine.

Our overall experience was very good; from the clean parking lot, to the clean interior, excellent service and food. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and will definitely...

I always come here for there Sunday specials. We are usually not well served whenever there is special promotions because it’s too crowded or so, but let me tell you that service here is beyond! They surprise me every time. I have 3 kids under age and they always so caring for them. They even brought my 15 months baby some toys to entertain her so I can eat. The staff is truly amazing and give their 150% no matter how busy it is. They have great food, they have the best clam chowder soup! All of their soups are delicious, but clam chowder is the best! I hope that they will keep Sunday promo all the time because it has became our party spot over the years! The only thing I have to complain about is their take out packaging. They put the hot ribs in those styrofoam containers and it will melt it and make a whole at the bottom of it. Not very pleasant when I open the box at home. But on the other side, their soup containers keep the soup super hot for super long! The styrofoam issue is minor, all the rest covers it up. Cheers to the whole staff!! Keep up the good job...

My wife and I had a table reserved for 6:00 p.m. Immediately after entering, a young girl greeted us with a smile and brought us to our table. An attendant immediately appeared at our table with a menu. We ordered calamari and a bottle of white wine to start as an appetizer. We asked for the next course to be brought to us only after an hour. We had a bottle of wine and calamari on the table within minutes. The waiter was very attentive and regularly refilled our glasses with wine. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere and played pleasant and not loud music. Exactly after an hour, as we requested, the main course was brought to us, ribs with large shrimp for my wife and chicken with large shrimp for me. Both were very tasty and large portions. We were very satisfied with both the service and the excellent food, which is why I give it 5 stars. I have only one comment and that is the plain water we also received. The water was well chilled, but it smelled very much of chlorine. That's why I think such a big restaurant could buy and install a filter to remove the...
