If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I came here with a group of girlfriends to celebrate a birthday, and we left angry, disappointed, and appalled by the atrocious service and unprofessional behavior.
Our waitress clearly had an attitude from the moment we sat down. She was cold, rude, and made us feel like we were a burden the entire night—yet she had no problem being all smiles and flirty with the older men at the bar. Drinks? Came after our food, and only after reminding the busboys twice. She was practically invisible the entire night, except when she stormed into the bathroom screaming on her phone. No check-ins, no water refills, nothing unless we begged for it. We had to ask for sharing plates, had to ask for our table to be cleared, had to ask for every. single. thing.
And the cake situation? Ridiculous. We waited an hour for cake slices, which they charge $5 per person just to serve your own cake. They were about to slap it down on a table still covered in dirty dishes and empty glasses. What kind of establishment can’t even clear a table properly?
Oh, and the dress code for the waitresses? There practically wasn’t one. It looked like a trashy nightclub—cleavage and mini skirts everywhere. Not the vibe we came for. Our server even yelled at one of us, insisting we had ordered a pizza to go when all we did was ask the busboy for the price. It felt aggressive, confrontational, and honestly bizarre.
When I asked to speak to the manager, he was no better—condescending, dismissive, and rude. He kept interrupting me, made excuses for his staff, and even said, “Maybe she had a bad day.” Sorry, but your staff’s bad day isn’t my problem when I’m spending money at your restaurant. When I said I wouldn’t be paying for the hour-late drinks or the cake fees, he looked me in the eye and said: “You’re not going to tell me what to do. This is my restaurant and I decide what happens.” Unbelievable.
He still tried to charge me for everything. Not once did anyone try to apologize or make it right. We were there for four hours because everything was so painfully slow and disorganized.
Bottom line: Terrible customer service. Rude staff. Overpriced. Disrespectful management. Never coming back. Do yourself a favor—spend your money somewhere that actually...
Read moreSee the thing is if the atmosphere is 10/10 food is 10/10 but the service is -5/10 it makes it all go to waste. We called and reserved a table for 2, we walk in they give us somewhere at the corner with the doors wide open and it’s raining outside so we wanted to change our seating mind you there’s 4 tables next to us that are empty with no reserved signs on it and 3-4 tables in the middle. keep in mind that we had left the previous restaurant for seating issues as well. anyway while the hostess in sofia tired to help us out the MANAGER walked in on our conversation without greeting us and said there’s no place available to change ur table in a very rude tone and left. now it might not matter to you that it’ll be the last time i’ll be coming here not just because the service was the worst thing, but also because your employees know you’re just rude so they tell me “ my boss is having a bad day i can’t ask him” “ my boss is a little stressed today” OKAY? also another thing, when customers ask for a servers name they shouldn’t answer with “why” that’s just how it goes, there was a table whistling to call the server to the table and i think the fact that, that wasn’t stopped was just cheap and disrespectful to the atmosphere, when i’m trying to know the servers name and approach the situation in a better way also your cups to drink water smell very damp btw might want to put your attention on that. and also maybe go over on how customer service works, no wonder why you have 3.3 rating on this location. Overall i do not recommend. we were there by 7:30 and by the time we left it was 9 and the pictures at the bottom was before we left the tables were still empty. also parking situation is just not it. Handled it...
Read moreWe went to Sofia on a Friday night as a group of seven. First challenge: no parking outside, so I had to use the indoor garage. The sign at the entrance said parking would be covered if validated by the restaurant.
When we arrived, our group had already placed their orders, so I added mine — a glass of wine and a main dish. The restaurant was full, so I understand it was busy, but it took quite a while for the wine to arrive. There was no water on the table, and we had to ask for it ourselves. Throughout the night, our waitress rarely checked on us, even as she passed by several times. We had to ask a busboy twice to find her.
The food, however, was excellent — very tasty and well-prepared. That part definitely lived up to expectations.
I wanted a second glass of wine later, but again, our server was nowhere to be found. When I finally managed to get one, it took a while too. At the end of the meal, I asked her to validate my parking ticket, which she claimed to have done.
We stayed about 45 minutes after paying — just chatting, stepping out for a smoke, and asking for more water. But when I got to the parking exit, I was surprised to be charged $8. Either the ticket wasn’t properly validated, or the validation window expired during our stay — which wasn’t clearly explained.
Overall, I’d give the experience 3 stars: • Food: excellent • Service: lacking • Parking situation: frustrating
It’s a beautiful place with great food, but the service and unclear parking policy really took away from...
