St-Hubert Express — Restaurant in Laval (administrative region)

I’m not typically a person who leaves reviews but this was by far the worst experience at a large chain restaurant. Food took forever to be served, and not because the order was particularly complex - most of it simply sat at the warming station waiting for someone to pick it up. Poor hygiene/food handling practices on full display, with cook picking up chicken with bare hands, brushing hair off his face, wiping sweat, and then moving on to handling fries, and buns. Drink machine not working and staff well aware, but still gave us fountain station cups and didn’t mention it until it was brought up that drinks were coming out watered down. Most of orders were given the wrong side dishes. Fried chicken sandwich items were over cooked and yet because of long waiting time ended up being served cold with soggy buns. First time visiting this st-hubert express and was pleasantly surprised by my experience. The place was extremely clean and well-maintained, and the staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming.

One thing that really stood out to me was how easy it was to access drinks and sauces. They had a self-serve soda fountain and a variety of condiments and sauces on every table, which made it convenient to customize my meal to my liking.
