APRIL: The place was clean, staff was pleasant! Menu was a flashback to 1970s with 2030 prices. Extremely dated food selection, terrible pictures for a menu and averaging nearly $20 per plate without a drink, tip or tax for a dinner. PASS. In fact, we did, paid for drinks and bailed.
July 21st went back for a late dinner with a friend. Ordered a chocolate milkshake; probably the best one I've had in about 10 years incredibly thick and I'm pretty confident that was Chapman's ice cream. I also ordered their version of a beef dip with fries and gravy. The beef dip was so loaded with grease I literally rang it out in front of my friend onto my plate. It wasn't juice, juice doesn't shine. The fries were very good and lightly seasoned a nice change from caked on salt that you received for most places. Gravy was fairly flavorless and lukewarm at best. The au juice was equally lukewarm at best but flavorful. Our server was trying his best but clearly wasn't trained. We didn't get our drinks until literally our meals came. Didn't come back and check on our meal, didn't ask my friend if he wanted to refill on his soft drink. I admit I took him to task, he was sincerely apologetic. The final bill for two people was nearly $50 ($47) with no alcohol, no appetizers and in fact my friend only had a breakfast meal. To be fair the bill was waived. But once again less than mediocre experience. Did tip the server because at least he was sincerely apologetic. Restaurant was clean. But I actually fault the manager for the lack of training and organizing. The staff clearly need a refresher on serving and they needed clear sections so that the customer base was divided more evenly and given better service. Funny enough they did update the menus. Ask my friend about his meal all he could say was it was a 'good enough'. Neither particularly hot or...
Read moreWould leave a 0 star review if I could. After we ordered our food and drinks, the server did not come to our table to refill our coffee and sodas. At one point while I was looking around for a server to refill my coffee, I noticed that there was not a single server on the floor. 5-10 minutes later I seen three servers entering the restaurant with beverages not from the restaurant. When the food was brought to our table, they did not bring the sauces we had requested when we ordered the food. The worst complaint was that the fried fish had a mushy, gooey liquid seeping from it. We sent the food back, at that point the manager returned holding a piece of the fish. He very rudely told us that the fish was fine to eat and he ate it in front of us. He had a take it or leave it attitude. Never have I experienced such rudeness and disrespect from a restaurant manager. He walked away from our table, and we were left in disbelief at what had just happened. After I had time to process, I asked to speak with the manager. I expressed my disgust in witnessing his behavior. He did not take my complaint seriously and was very dismissive. I then realized that the manager did not care about my experience or opinion. I then asked for a corporate contact email to direct my complaint. He was reluctant to give me a corporate email address to direct my complaint to, he never actually did. It was only after threat of taking my complaint further did his demeanor change. He became apologetic and told us that we would not have to pay for our entire meal. At that point, the damage was done. Our table did not receive any service following my complaint, nobody came to refill our drinks, check on our table, or even clear the table after we...
Read moreHad a pretty good experience back in February, so decided to take my Daughter here for her birthday. Wait wasn't to bad, but then was led to a table that wasn't even cleaned up. Sugar all over the top, food and such very visible. Unsure why the waitress sat us here. My 8 yr old even seen the mess and wondered what was up. Well, after sitting for almost ten minutes with no one coming to our table, I got up and tracked down an employee who moved us to another table. I'm not sure what happened here over the past few months but these employees working there didn't appear to want to be there. Zero customer service and zero urgency. Next we were finally moved to a cleaned table. Hoping for Tracy's section, we ended up getting placed next to hers. Now, we sit and wait for another 5 min or so and have our order taken. Received our food in a decent time, however the hashbrowns were places right on top of the eggs !?? Why?? Be it my daughter's birthday I kept it quiet and tried to enjoy the moment. Kids had iced tea and chocolate milk. Well, I guess they switched chocolate milk suppliers and it was absolutely garbage. Not sure how you even feel ok serving that to customers. Waitress once again , zero urgency and didn't even return to our table and no refills or anything. Tracey was helpful and switched out our drink and also brought us refills. She said sorry for things. Again not sure how you can employee people who don't have any skill or customer service. Will we be back? Not unless the service changes. Other...
