Hero Certified Burgers — Restaurant in Markham

I ordered from this place yesterday and had pretty high expectations since I had heard so much about how awesome this place was. Needless to say, I was a bit disappointed at the extremely small portion sizes. I ordered the crispy fried chicken sandwich "create your own burger option" and added a few toppings such as lettuce, cheese, onion, tomatoes and jalapeños. I was expecting the burgers to be quite large and filling with quite a few toppings especially considering that it was $10 for a burger alone but no, the portion size was VERY small with barely any toppings on the burger so it honestly felt empty (for example, my burger had 3 tiny jalapeño pieces ). I also ordered fries which tasted like they were double deep fried and soggy from the grease. Tasted stale and no that isn't because we picked up the order since my house is a 1 minute drive away. My sister ordered a burger as well which also felt empty...it was literally just a patty with the smallest amount of lettuce and 1 tiny tomato slice...so disappointing that she could have gotten a double cheese burger from McDonalds for a fraction of the price lol. Overall, my experience was not the greatest. This place is TOO expensive for extremely small portions...don't understand why they are so cheap on the toppings since lettuce dosen't exactly cost a lot. Also, the photos of the burgers are super deceiving since they show a fair amount of burger toppings which this place does not seem to deliver. Today I placed an order through uber eats at 7:55 pm. This after I drove to the store to confirm they will make them to my liking because they wouldn't pick up the phone. After placing the order I went to a couple of stores and returned and then was told it will take another 15 to 20 minutes. At 8:45 pm when o returned they packed two of my sandwiches and handed them to me and I was told I havw to wait 10 minutes for their grill to heat and then the time it takes to make the burger. This is now almost 1 hour later. Now I am holding half na order which is prepared and getting cold and expecraruon is I havw to wait another 15 20 minutes to get the second part of my order. They offered I cancel the order. When I tried, uber will charge me 21$ to cancel the order. They tried to cancel the order and couldn't either. They then offered me two different type of sandwiches and I accepted. Considering this order is over 1 hour late and the fact that I am not even getting what I ordered. The manager didn't have the decency go offer me anything even a small fries or a drink. We are hero burger fans but we do not like the location on Markham Rd in Markham... We have been twice and both times haven't been the typical quality food for hero burgers. We figured the first experience wasn't great because they just opened and they were working out the kinks. Just went today and service is about the same. Took forever to get our food - over 15 mins I usually get a burger with no bun and I remembered from last time I had minimal lettuce (normally I get at least 3-4 leafs at other locations and last time I had one there...). (*Note the rest of my veg/pickle was sparing as well, maybe 1-2 slices of pickles, jalapeno pieces of onion and maybe 1 slice of tomato.) So this time I asked for double the amount, and I got two leafs. Last time I had a normal amount of sauce, this time I would say I had some burger with my sauce. It was drowning in it, and I scraped it off to the side and it was still covered. I know I could have asked for another if it was drenched but I really didn't want to wait another 20 mins for a new one . Needless to say, I think I will go back to the one at McCowan and hwy 7 (even tho the one on Markham Rd is less than 5 mins...
