I’ve been to a lot of Popeyes over the years and always enjoyed their products, but I’ve also found that the quality of the product can vary quite considerably from place to place. I went to this location on a whim, knowing it had a 3 tender deal for the day. Really you’re supposed to get three medium to large size tenders but in this case I end up getting two regular size tenders, which were basically greasy and barely warm. I’m supposed to get three tenders, but to round out to three I ended up getting a couple of little shrimpy fried leftover pieces that I guess they felt were equivalent to a whole tender, but since they were mostly batter and very little chicken that really didn’t make much sense to me. Usually you air on the side of caution and give the customer a little extra rather than chinch them and giving them a little less. I didn’t notice this until I actually got in the car and was driving away so I couldn’t go back to show the employee what that what they gave me really wasn’t what I was supposed to get. I wasn’t very impressed and I wouldn’t recommend this place unless they get their act together. The tender special used to be 450 to 5 $ and now is six dollars but for your six dollars you’re getting three relatively small pieces of chicken, mostly with batter and in this case two pieces with two little leftovers on the side. In the past, I’ve always been asked if I wanted to get two sauces with the chicken but in this case, she said if I want a second sauce, that would be extra. I’m not sure if this is across the board, but it’s the only place I’ve been to that charges for a little extra sauce that’s worth about one cent. I would say cheap doesn’t even come close to describing how they operate at this place. If you’re gonna offer your customers a daily deal at least make the food warm and a consistent size. Don’t just give...
Read moreI had an extremely disappointing experience with Popeyes Markham Rd location that I need to share. I used the app to pre-order three chicken sandwiches—one Classic, one Classic Deluxe, and one Classic Spicy—half an hour before my arrival. Even though I arrived on time, I had to wait an additional five minutes to pick up my order. When I got home, I discovered that all three sandwiches were labeled as Classic, and the Deluxe one was missing the lettuce and tomato that should have been included.
I called the restaurant to address the issue, and a woman named Harbrwed, who claimed to be the manager, took my call. She repeatedly asked me to confirm my order number and details, then put me on hold for about five minutes while she checked with the kitchen. When she returned, she didn’t apologize at all. Instead, she told me to bring the entire order back so she could add the lettuce and tomato to the classic sandwich. She insisted that she packed the order and refused to acknowledge any fault.
I was frustrated by her dismissive attitude and the suggestion to return with the incorrect food to have it corrected. If the food was wrong, a proper resolution would have been to remake the correct sandwich, not just add toppings to the incorrect ones. Given the rude and unhelpful response, I won’t be returning to this location, even though it’s nearby. The service attitude was extremely arrogant and disappointing. It’s obviously to see on attached pictures that deluxe not been marked on the bag and no premium toppings in...
Read moreSimilar to the raw picture posted by someone else here, my wife's chicken was similarly cooked. It tasted funny at first and under the normal looking parts, the discoloured parts were hiding. When i brought back to the staff, she looked annoyed and tried to convince me it was ok. She replaced it in any case. The second meal was equally as odd tasting. My wife and daughter did not finish their meals.
I spoke to the manager who immediately heads me off when i asked if they changed suppliers. He says he has my chicken in the back and assures me its fine. I mention we have popeyes often enough to know the expected product. He again says its fine, and to look around how everyone else is buying it and eating it, no problem.
The manager was obviously not hearing my concern about spoiled and possibly undercooked chicken, so my wife and daughter and other son, simply threw their meals out. I had shrimp which was fine as did my eldest son.
Its a shame when these types of managers dont seem to care that they're saving themselves from replacing a meal or two by disregarding their complaints, not realizing the long term impact from loss of business from an entire family forever.
Avoid this location. Go to highway seven and mccowan or up to stouffville.
The management at this location wont be there for long...same for the staff that really act like they're too good...
