We order food here all the time. The quality of the food is usually ok not great but that's not the main issue here. Today we ordered via Uber Eats and one of the items was missing. The bag was tied with a knot as they always do and I was sure no one opened it after it left the restaurant. I called the Uber driver. He was very concerned and assured me he didn't open the bag (of course he didn't). He even said he'd go back to the restaurant and let them know about the missing item.
When I called the restaurant to politely let them know about the missing item and that the Uber driver was coming to get it, the lady kept insisting that she put it in the bag (it's another white container. How would she know?). She then said if the driver comes back we have to check our cameras.
...Seriously?!!!!!
It was one little food (side order). It was no big deal. I assumed it must have been left behind by mistake. Accidents happen. Just own up to it, apologize and give him another one, even if it wasn't your fault.
What bothered me was not about the missing food. Again, I understand mistakes happen.
The problem was being cheap and unprofessional. Also, you don't check security cameras for a missing side food item. It wasn't the...
Read morePlease don't spend your hard earned money here. Portion sizes are very small for the price you pay. Guaranteed there are other kebab places in the area that will offer the same quality with much better portions at the same price point.
It surprises me seeing the owner respond to other patron reviews saying they are known for their generous portions. But there are still so many patron reviews saying the exact opposite. The portion sizes are too small for the price you are paying and it's as simple as that. It's not like the quality of the food is significantly better than others either.
I like to support small businesses, but as a business owner, you cannot be negligent on the customer experience. I hope management is really looking into this because it's evident in multiple reviews that there is a gap between what you pay and what you get. The problem still exists and it is very likely I won't be a returning customer.
There's just too many one or two star reviews saying the same thing and the owner doesn't care enough to make any changes. Sadly, this is one of the few restaurants I will not be able to recommend to my family and friends. Hopefully this post will help create a sense of urgency for the owner to make...
Read moreMy husband & I love love love this place! We always order takeout in advance online. We are able to pick the date & time we want to pick up our order and it has 95% of the time been ready upon arrival.
I've tried their Sultani (ground beef & beef fillet) combo however found the fillet too dry for my liking so I always just order the beef koobideh which is the ground beef skewers (x2). It comes with rice, salad (sooo good even though there is chickpeas in it) plus naan. My husband always orders one of their sandwiches. We always enjoy the food. It is so tasty and the portion is sufficient. I'm able to have two small meals from the beef koobideh order.
This restaurant is located in the MarkhaMack Center off Markham Road just south of Major Mackenzie on the East side. There are a few tables inside if you choose to dine-in. There is a good sized parking lot and parking is always available. The staff there are friendly and the one time that we had to wait a bit for our food, she gave us a free drink for having us have to wait.
I always dream of my next visit there & we have become...
