A very nice place to grab lunch as they offer good combos for a reasonable price. Often during prime lunch time, the restaurant can get very busy with lineups. We came on Saturday around 2pm and after sitting down, there was already a mini lineup forming. They have a variety of dishes to offer, but I’d recommend getting their lunch sets which runs till 5pm as you not only get a big portion of food, but also a drink (some additional cost) included as well for a good price. The food comes out surprisingly very fast (less tha 10 mins), but the drinks can take longer to come. We ordered: - L26: Fried egg noodles w/ chicken in satay sauce ($8.75): Very flavourful plate of noodles that is also very generous with the chicken breast portions. Though the noodle was a bit saucy, I didn’t mean it too much, however I would prefer less sauce as some of the crunchy noodles (which I liked) became soggy. - L13: Pan fried chicken steak w/ black pepper sauce on rice ($8.25): A very big piece of chicken thigh that is placed on top of a big bowl of rice. The chicken had a good amount of spice and the skim was also very crispy. The sauce wasn’t overwhelming and I find there was a good sauce:ratio to this dish. Overall very satisfied with my dining experience (as usual) , and will come back soon! IG: Ayenomz

Came here for dinner on a Sunday night. It was really busy, and they have roughly 10 tables, (3 for groups 5+), so call in to reserve! We were pleasantly surprised with how yummy the dishes were. We got the combo for 5, which includes 5 dishes out of the 60 of your choice, and 5 bowls of rice. Don't forget to ask for the tofu pudding dessert ($10 for a large which could feed 6, or $6 for the small). The highlight was the Fish Sauce Chicken. It came in such a big portion for just a half chicken, and was delicious! We also enjoyed the Satay Beef and vermicelli hot pot, which came sizzling hot, with tons of tender beef and vermicelli in a savory satay sauce that was plentiful. The sweet and sour chicken was our favourite as well. This place actually uses chicken breast fillets, deep fried until crispy and coated in a sweet and tangy sauce. Yum! The shrimp and eggplant in satay sauce hot pot, was alright as the portion was small. Wish it had more satay sauce like the vermicelli hot pot did! The service was great and the food came out fast. The tofu pudding is a must! Much better than most HK desert places in the city. We would definitely come back!

We haven't had Hong Kong 🇭🇰 style cafe food for a while so we decided to dine-in at this restaurant that my friend recommended to us that's known for great 鑊氣 "Wok-Hei" (stir-fry) dishes 🥘😋 👀 The lunch menu was much more extensive than I thought, it had plenty of dishes to choose from and it was hard to narrow it down but we settled for the Satay Chicken Fried Egg noodles ($10.25) and Black Bean sauce Bitter Melon and fish fillet on rice ($10.75) Both were decent sized portions and packed with flavour 👍🤤 From the time we placed the order to when the waiter put the food on our table out was probably only a matter of 5-6 minutes!! 😲😲😲 We were shocked at the speed of the wok cooking! ⚡⏱️ The lunch special came with a hot drink but we opted for cold milk teas (+$2) since it was so warm outside. 🤔🤔 At first we thought $2 was expensive as an add-on for a cold drink compared to other HK cafes....but we got given a large BBT sized drink so I guess it was worth it For more food reviews follow me on Instagram @aussieintoronto

We went there last Thursday night after my son's Taekwondo class. It was almost 8:30 and just wanted a quick dinner. I went in and told the wait staff that there would be 3 of us and we were seated very quickly. After browsing through the menu for a few minutes, we quickly decided what we wanted. We asked the server over and placed our order, after she noted everything down, then she told us that we had to wait because "it's dinner time for the kitchen".

We were shocked that patrons of a restaurant actually had to wait for the cooks in the kitchen finishing their dinner before being served. But since we were seated and did not want to go elsewhere to waste our time, we decided to wait. The next thing we noticed was all the staff from the kitchen walked out with their food and placed them on a big round table and started eating there. Truthfully, it was not the first time I had seen staff from the kitchen in a Chinese restaurant having their meals, but they would usually take turns so that the service would not be disrupted.

While we were waiting, there were a few more parties coming into the restaurant and seated. By almost 9:15, the kitchen staff finished their dinner (finally) and went back to the kitchen. Hoping our food would arrive shortly and realized that we were expecting too much. The next thing we noticed were the tables who ordered the same dishes were served first. I guess the kitchen was strategizing to save their amount of work. We did not get our food until close to 9:30.

The quality of their food was OK, except they obviously had put in quite an amount of MSG as we felt really thirsty when we got home that night.

Not sure if we will...

I’ve been to this place a few times, I normally get take-out but a few times I’ve dined in. They serve decent food, I normally get one of their stir fried rice options which never disappoints.

Their customer service though last time made me not want to visit this place ever again. This last time, I went there just to buy a can of coke (I work nearby and I had brought lunch that day, so I just wanted to get a drink from this place because it’s so close-by within walking distance to me, instead of having to drive to a corner store). I asked for a can of coke and they asked whether I wanted to pay by cash or debit, I didn’t have cash with me so I said debit. I believe it turned out to be $2.25 which I paid by debit. As soon as I did and I was about to leave, that server’s manager came up to her and started arguing with her. I didn’t know what was off , I thought maybe the payment hadn’t gone through, then the manager told me “You didn’t pay for HST. Next time, pay in cash if you don’t want to pay for HST. You pay card, you pay tax.” I could not believe this woman was arguing and almost yelling at me over $0.30 which was the fault of her staff who didn’t know any better to charge me for and the manager was putting the blame on me instead (after already yelling at her staff too who forgot to charge me). So I went to my car, looked for the change, gathered $0.30 and handed it to her so she can sleep easy that night, not thinking her business lost $0.30 that day due to a customer not wanting to pay sales tax. That’s as cheap as customer service can get.

They lost a loyal customer, I used to get lunch from here quite a bit....

Service Possibly the worst service ever. I'm not saying the people here are mean, but they are so not attentive. My boyfriend got a table for 4 and was never given a menu. When we waved to get service, the waitress came in with a pen and paper and we were like...mmm, there is no menu and that's what we asked for. We looked around and noticed that other tables got their starter soup, so when we asked the same waitress for help she kinda went 'oh right'. That's so sad man. Anyhow, I came here because I read pretty positive reviews online from Yelp. One reviewer actually noted that the restaurant provides unlimited soup. I was like, that's crazy so I asked another waitress (hoping this time someone smarter could answer the question). She responded by letting out a big laugh and said she never heard of it. I'm like wow, okay. I don't really blame her for the response, but she probably could have given a more polite answer.

Food The food was good. It came out fast and the portions were decent. The prices are not too bad, and I think they are well matched. In fact, if the dishes were $1 cheaper I would come back monthly lols (despite the bad service). I want to say that the fish we ordered at night was SUPER SUPER TENDER, and delicious. What was unfortunate was that lunch and dinner menus were totally different. I really wanted to try the spaghetti, but it was not available. Anyhow, I would say that for cafe-styled Chinese food, this one is worth a second visit (just recognizing that service could...
