I would rate them 3.5 I am a little disappointed after my first visit. The restaurant’s name is fancy, and it’s located in a hotel (oops, I forgot it’s an inn); but the restaurant is actually very noisy and crowded although I saw a couple were enjoying candle light dinner with red wine at the back corner (big contrast 😆) Food is actually more like HK style cafe food. Staffs mainly speak Cantonese. Maybe it was a busy night, our food took long time to come, and even though we asked for the bill, it took long time too, the first server forgot and we had to asked again to the second server. I had a little hope when I see Lobster Bisque on the menu and there’s no lobster chunk in it and the soup taste strong alcohol… Pork Chop is a bit greasy coz it’s a fatty Pork Chop; even the Chicken dish has some oil on the plate too. But the Tomato sauce was good 👍🏻 Staffs are friendly and they also provide Chinese Menu if you needed. So, if you are looking for a fancy diner, that’s not the right place. But if you like a tasty of HK style cafe food, you can go have a try. (The worst part is the washroom, very messy, used paper towels everywhere on the sink and ground…I know it’s not their fault coz it’s located in the inn’s lobby; but that’s the where to go if you need to wash your hands before...
Read moreWe had a lovely weekend lunch with family at this cozy restaurant hidden inside Monte Carlo Inn. As we entered the building, we were warmly greeted by the reception at the hotel front desk. The smiles on everyone's faces truly brightened our day! The restaurant itself has a pleasant dining environment, cozy and impeccably clean.
They offer a wide selection of set lunches, each including soup or salad and coffee or tea with fair price set. We have upgraded our soup to the Baked Pastry soup for an additional $13, and it was certainly worth the extra cost and the brief 10-15 minute wait, as it was freshly baked. This soup tastes superb and comforting beginning to our meal, providing a satisfying and indulgent start. The white sauce chicken and bacon Linguine were a delicious combination of flavors, and the portions are huge. And the Pan friend Sole was cooked just right, paired perfectly with a fresh green salad. The food was delicious with every dish expertly seasoned and cooked to perfection.
The service at the restaurant was good with friendly and accommodating staff. They were attentive to all our requests and questions. Overall, it was a memorable meal filled with great food. A perfect place for a relaxing meal with family or friends. We will definitely come...
Read moreSince we were staying at the Monte Carlo, we decided to give this place a try for dinner, and don't get me wrong it is pricey but the food is well worth it, we had Frittura Di Pesce, I had the salmon Wellington, wife had the seafood linguine, the portions were great and tasty, dining room is clean, but beware of breakfast, continental breakfast only gets you Cereal, bread, and jams, if you want a hot breakfast(eggs, bacon, sausage) it is an extra $8 per person. I do believe it was a miscommunication issue since it seems English is not the staffs first language, we went in for Breakfast, the waitress told us we needed a voucher which I don't understand since we only wanted the hot breakfast and not continental, so we went to get a voucher and came back and gave it to the staff, about half an hour later waiting for eggs and bacon, we were told the kitchen is not serving breakfast anymore, like we didn't mind paying the extra for Breakfast and we still didn't get it, so we just wasted our time. We went down to Gordos diner literally the next block, and it was so delicious and waited less than half an hour. I'd stay in the hotel again but would look for eating...
