In a world where Tim Hortons went from being a Canadian icon for those of all ages and backgrounds, to a roach infested hellscape where you have to repeat your order 28 times just for them to mess it up regardless, one tim stands tall and against the test of time. This, is that Tims.
The employees here don't look like they've been ingesting Schedule 1 substances in the back right before their shifts: they are actually conscious of their surroundings. They don't mess up your order 7 different times and STILL not get it right. They actually SMILE while taking your order. They make conversation because they possess actual communication skills. The seats aren't full of stains from questionable sources. The bathrooms don't put nuclear waste landfills to shame. There wasn't some cockroach on the doughtnut I was about to buy visibly taste testing it to ensure proper Tim Hortons quality. There isn't some 9 year old in plain clothing taking my order because his parents who own the Tims continue to ignore basic Canadian laws on labour. The coffee was actually filled to the top and didn't taste like someone took crusty water dripping from the leaky sink faucet and added brown food colouring to it. The employees actually call out your order properly instead of just leaving it on the counter and forgetting what the food they just made was even called. The food actually tastes edible. I honest to god didn't think there were any tim hortons left where I didnt fear for my life taking a bite of the food because I didn't trust them enough to boil an egg properly, or because some psychotic homeless person was in the bathroom yelling at himself about how the government will find him.
This Tim Hortons, by all known laws of physics, should not still exist in the big 2025. How has it resisted the downfall of the empire that is every other Tim Hortons? The world might never know. But all I do know is this Tim's actually feels like the Tims I remember from my childhood. Go...

Read moreI've known Mark in his role as the Manager of three different Tim Horton"s franchises over the past 14 years or so; including the outlets at Don Mills and Steeles, on John at Woodbine and most recently at Woodbine and Apple Creek. This latest venture provides the usual tasty food fare but what is notable and appreciated is that the floors and table tops are ALWAYS kept clean; and unlike other drive through outlets with mobile order pickups managed by others, every staff member at this location 8801 Woodbine at Apple Creek consistently treats the dine-in customer with equal priority in a timely manner and certainly without the delays regularly experienced elswhere that often leave the dine-in customer with frustratingly long waits to have their orders delivered in full. What I find remarkable is that the staff ALWAYS greet you with a friendly smile and genuinely seem to enjoy working under Mark's mentorship. Thank you for the exceptional service to the Entire Crew this Canada Day morning including Pavneet, Abhay, Manmeet, Kamala, and Shantay !!! And of course at Tim Hortons your foodfare is always prepared fresh, is reasonably priced and you are not rudely manipulated or expected to leave a tip at checkout like at Starbucks. At Tim Hortons outlets managed by Mark, smiles and great service are always free...at every hour of the day....and irrespective of whether Mark is present in the restaurant or not....as they should be....Well done...
