Pros: Large amount of seating Good portion sizes Vietnamese/Thai/Chinese dishes available

Cons: Broth on the salty side at the end

I'm usually skeptical of a restaurant that has multiple types of cuisines. It's the jack of all trades but not very good at any one thing syndrome. However, the Yelp reviews for this place were pretty good. Pho is one of the staples of my family when we eat out. Pho Pad Thai surprised me in a good way to say the least.

From the outside, Pho Pad Thai looks like it would be a smaller place. Once you walk in, you'll notice it's a lot more spacious. There are a very large number of tables available. With the quick turnover that a Pho restaurant is, you'll never have to wait too long before you get a seat.

The menu has a plethora of items to choose from. As I noted above, there are Vietnamese, Thai and Chinese dishes to choose from. For this visit, we ordered just items you would find at a Pho restaurant. We ordered Pho, spring rolls and chicken wings.

The food comes out very quickly after you order it. The Pho portions are very good. If you're a big eater like me, the XL will fill you up here. The broth at the start is very good. It gets a little salty near the end though. I'm someone who finishes the broth and I remember being super thirsty after because of it. The spring rolls were amazing. They were super crispy on the outside so they must of been cooked fresh to order. The wings were the same. Overall, the I was very impressed with the Pho items here.

All in all, I really like this place. I was skeptical, but was happily proven wrong. I will definitely be back in the future to try the...

Went there this past Monday, food was decent but the service wasn't. As the server asked us what we would like to order. We started ordering an appetizer, green curry and a rice dish for ourselves individually and wanted to order the pho to share and try the pad thai but we were cut off saying we were ordering too much and had to cancel at least 1 or 2 items. After reassuring them that we would just take home whatever we didn't finish the server was still insistent. After a couple of minutes of back and forth assuring them that we would pay they finally let us complete our order. However when we gave them the last order of Pho (XL) to share, they exclaim "no,no,no,no! That too much food for you!" and we had to just plainly tell them to just ring in our order please. After the food came they never came back to check up on us. We ate our food as quickly as possible and packed the leftovers and paid. We didn't tip since the whole thing kinda made everything sour. Another server then came up to us as we were leaving asking why we didn't tip, we simply told them the service was subpar that day and left. Shame as my girlfriend comes here whenever she has a chance for their green curry. Safe to say we...

Great place, quick service, really nice staff. My kids love going to this restaurant for our Vietnamese noodle fix. Love their broken glass jello dessert available Friday to Sunday!

Update July 2022: Still a great place for Vietnamese food. Really friendly and helpful servers. But no more "special dessert" off the menu for now. Will update when I can get it again.

Update October 2022: They're closed on Tuesdays. Allows credit card.

Update Feb 2023: Servers there are so efficient and friendly! It's like coming to see friends. Curry is really good.

Update May 2023: prices are still very good. Large portions.

Update Jan 2024: new schedule they're now open 7 days a week. Great staff, good prices and good food quality maintained.

Update Mar 2024: excellent service / staff. Quality maintained. They have a discount card you can get for a small fee that's valid for a year and each time you visit you get 10% off but you need to pay in cash.

Updated Aug 2024: Good service and friendly staff, food quality is consistent and portions are decent for the price. They do a lot of business with repeat customers because the staff have been there for a while and have made connections with...

I was happened to be around the area and was picking a restaurant randomly via google map, and realized I had never been to here even though they’ve been opened for business for more than 10 years!! Food: I tried their Skewers, Laksa, and Thin Vermicelli Combination. Their skewers were really good, they do have the charcoal flavor, it’s just the sauce is not nutty enough, it’s too much chilly oil. I like their Laksa, it has quite a lot toppings, and the soup is not coconuty, coz too much coconut milk will upset my stomach. And their Vermicelli combination is a very good deal, it serves with Rice Paper, and the portions good enough for 2 (small eater) and it’s tasty as well. Service: the staffs are excellent, they are very friendly and they interact with the regulars as like their own friends, customers enjoy their meal happily there. Atmosphere: it’s spacious, lots of seats, maybe the photos on the wall are a bit old. I might want to try their curry and roti next time if I come back again; or try their tea time menu.

Service is average and the place is clean and with lots of tables so quite roomy and comfortable. First time being here and tried two dishes: 1. Beef Pho - nice they offer fresh noodle and the beef is tender however the soup is abit light, so to me overall, it’s an ok bowl of pho. 2. Chicken Green curry with Roti - the green curry is quite aromatic and flavourful. I never had green curry so not exactly sure what it suppose to taste like but I liked it. The roti is abit thick, the one I had before has abit of layers in between but this one is just one layer and finding it abit thick. A typical what u can expect from a Vietnamese/Thai restaurant in Markham.. nothing particularly that stands out or particularly bad from this visit
