Response: Well, I just wrote an honest review about my experience, and it all stands. I tried to assume the reason for the three rolls being very cold and not being fresh and tasty. Whatever the reason, I leave it to you to figure it out, as that's your business. The truth is, the food wasn't good and we didn't enjoy the dinner, which was part of a small family celebration. I called the manager to let him know and didn't get proper response. That's all in short. Don't blame your customer for the review but make sure it doesn't happen again. That should be manager's proper response. That's why people take their time to write reviews, to help to elevate the quality of food and service. As soon I posted the review, I got your attention, right? If I ever decided to order from your restaurant again and if the food were outstanding, believe me, I would give you all the stars, but you need to deserve it. Sorry, but still: NOT RECOMMENDED. Review : First time the food was decent and fresh. Well, not any more.. Last time I had a big order of 5 special rolls and chirashi bowl. Shamefully, three of the rolls were pre-made and not fresh. It was too cold, like it was from the fridge, Someone most likely didn't pickup the order so it was waiting in the fridge for a while. Green dragon, avocado was more grey than green, Black dragon, was cold like ice instead to have a warm bbq-ed eel on the top, Red Dragon, salmon on the top was not fresh and it was very dry. I talked to manager afterwards and instead of honoring their own mistake, she was not quite kind and acted surprised. Not even a nice word as a compensation, not to talk about credit for my next order. Well, next order won't happen madame. NOT...

Seriously though, they have been taking care of me. 💯 When I call, they have my name saved and THANK ME for ordering with them again. Did I mention they add free treats to orders? And I mean TREATS. Sometimes it's a complimentary item from their delicious menu and sometimes it's a chocolate bar. I'm not kidding.
Like I said, DEY PROTEC.
😤
And whoever they have working in the kitchen put the "Art" in "Culinary Art". The dishes are BEAUTIFUL and have a taste to match. I almost feel guilty eating the meals because they look so good. These people are invested in their business. I haven't spent too much time dining in because of COVID but when I go to pick up, the ambience of the restaurant is also aesthetically zen af 🧘
The servers/greeters/people taking orders over the phone -- super sweet. They have the cutest hand writing and are always so polite and know the menu well. They hear me out when I speak and don't try to rush the order. They are well spoken and communicate clearly.
Communication is key in any healthy relationship, let me tell you. 📠
+10 ATTAC points
I'd also like to add that I found this restaurant on Uber EATS a couple months ago when it was a 7 minute drive away. I recently moved to an area with 7 other Sushi places walking distance. I've tried a few of them over the past couple weeks -- nothing compares. No contest. 🙅
I happily drive 30 minutes now for that sweet sweet Yorokobi...
Read moreMy family and I recently visited Yorokobi Japanese Restaurant after spending a long and tiring day at Wonderland. We were pleasantly surprised by the calming atmosphere of the restaurant, which provided a much-needed respite after the hectic day at the park.
The service at Yorokobi was exceptional. The staff members were attentive and friendly, ensuring our needs were met. They were prompt in taking our orders and were knowledgeable about the menu, providing helpful recommendations.
One of the highlights of our dining experience was the delicious food. Our kids absolutely loved the perfectly cooked shrimp tempura with a crispy, golden exterior. The salmon lover set was also a hit among the little ones, as they savored the fresh and flavorful salmon.
When it came to the sushi rolls, we appreciated that they were served in sets of five pieces. Unlike other restaurants where you often get eight to ten pieces, the smaller portion size at Yorokobi was actually ideal for us. It allowed us to sample a variety of rolls without feeling overwhelmed, and we were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves completely satisfied by the end of the meal.
Overall, our experience at Yorokobi Japanese Restaurant was fantastic. From the calming atmosphere to the impeccable service and delectable food, we left the restaurant feeling rejuvenated and satisfied. We highly recommend Yorokobi to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience with a touch of Japanese...
