Chuck's Roadhouse Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Midland

I would like to start out by thanking the amazing staff at Chucks Roadhouse in Midland for being so accommodating and making us all feel very welcome. We went out for dinner last night at 7pm, one of the people in our party was in a wheel chair, the wait was approximately a half an hour, which was not a problem as this was opening weekend, within 25 minutes a lady and a gentleman, who I believed were the owners, had a table ready for us which was wheelchair accessible. Our waitress Jody was very accommodating, we could tell it was a lot for her with how busy the place was and this being one of her first few shifts, but she made every effort to make sure we got our drinks and our food orders, even when a few of the steaks that had been served to our table were over cooked, Jody took them right back to the kitchen to have them remade and they even upgraded the steaks. Another staff member kept checking in on our table and I could see her going around and checking in on other tables making sure the guests were all satisfied with their meals, drinks and service, her name was Jamie, not sure if she is a manager or floor supervisor, but she was wonderful. Unfortunately had a pretty bad experience last night.

We had a group of 10 people show up at 9:30 pm, while our meals came out in not bad timing. My chicken bites came out with some being raw in the middle. I didn’t notice till I was about half way done. Which almost made me throw up when I found that out.

While our waitress was really apologetic and removed them from the bill, I think it would have been appropriate for the manager to come over and apologize. This wasn’t a steak over or undercooked. This was something that physically could have made me ill.

To cap off the night it took a full hour for us to get our bill. That’s a crazy amount of time to have to wait for a bill. We had a bunch of kids with us in the group and certainly didn’t help our groups opinion of the night. The worst part was watching the staff sit at the table off to the side of the bar, they seemed to be eating and chatting while we were waiting to leave. Everyone deserves to have a lunch break at work however our group of 10 shouldn’t be left without someone looking after us while that’s happening.

Went last night it was very busy so took over an hour to get our food, but I wish they would have told us that the wait time for the food to be served would have been that long BEFORE we put a drink order in and recieved it. Due to that we were stuck waiting for food with a hangry 2and a half year old. The appetizer was cold and so were all of our fries. My wife asked for sweet potato fries and got regular fries, she didn't want to say anything because we didn't want to be waiting a long time for what she actually ordered. As per my dish the meat was well cooked the ribs were great with near to no fat on them. The only complaint I have about my food was they just DOUSED my meat in sauce it was gross I had to wipe it all off. I couldn't even taste the meat all I could taste was the sauce. Our server was really nice and friendly and he did check on us regularly! I get the place was busy so mistakes do happen but please please please tell people how long it's going to take for food before they put in and recieve there order and maybe ask someone how much sauce they want on...
