McDonald's — Restaurant in Midland

We’ve only done the McDonald’s at Walmart a few times because they are so busy. Today we went and the kids were so excited to get a squishimal in their happy meal only to find out when they opened their meal that it was an old toy from last year that they’d already gotten. It was heartbreaking watching the excitement drain from their face. If you’re not going to give out the toys that are in the display fine, but PLEASE for the love of God put a note on the display saying you don’t have them and what the alternative toy is. That way you’re not falsely advertising and tying a little kid all excited just to be crushed. We would have gone to the McDonald’s on 93 had we known. This location has done this to us before too. It’s really not fair to the kids. The other issue today was the pops in the machine was messed up. The Coke Zero spot was actually regular root beer. As a diabetic this can be very dangerous. Especially for children who wouldn’t realize it’s not actually diet and not tell a parent. Thankfully we ate in so I could dump it and switch but had we left I would not have been happy having no drink with my meal. And you guys are ALWAYS out of ketchup. I would give zero stars if I could. First off, their kiosks NEVER have recipt paper, so you don't know what your order number is, nor can you prove that you ordered it at all. They are slower than molasses, even when not busy. They give you the wrong items in place of things you ordered because it's not in stock, but they don't even tell you about the substitute - you find out completely by surprise. Honestly, considering the price of the crap they sell, I am amazed that McDonald's is even still in business. Moreover, how is THIS McDonald's still in business with horrible service, sub-par cleanliness and a crew that has zero care about the product they are serving or the guests that they serve. so i am writing this as i sit in the drive through.. came here at 4am and was told they were doing a switch over and had to come back in 10 minutes to be served ? (never been told this at any mcdonald’s before) okay how come this issue isn’t a problem during the day at 11 am when they switch to lunch? then go back through the drive thru get the order taken and wait another 20 minutes! finally get to the window and ask why that wait was so long and the employee says it’s because they aren’t prepared for this many orders this morning (there was one car infront of me) this mcdonald’s is a joke !! especially for being the only one in the midland/penetang area you’d think they’d care about their customers and...
